0-0 at HT. Not much to say about this first half as both sides seem to be too much afraid of each other to go for it. Ghana are the favourites but they are not showing it.

Cape Verde can win this game.

Ghana for sure are not winning this tournament based on what I saw today (first time I watch them in this ANC), many of their more known players being left out of the sqaud could explain this display.

Slight correction, Pantsil is on the right and Afful on the left. Afful afaik is a right sided player, odd he plays on the left.

That was just a shoulder charge, no penalty for me.

1-0 to Ghana from the spot at 57' by Wakaso. Carlitos charged Asamoah Gyan and he should be happy that he wasn't sent off.

Cape Verde almost reacted instantly but Heldon's shot inside the box went wide.

As expected what this game needed was a goal as since it happened Cape Verde started pushing up and Ghana is happy to defend and counter.

Cape Verde keeps getting dangerous free kicks in their favour but they haven't been able to finish any.

Ghana makes it 2-0 with a freak goal at 90'+5' once again by Wakaso, who took advantage of Cape Verde's keeper going up for a corner and ran alone with the ball for about 70 metres.

Ghana 2-0 Cape Verde - FT

A very undeserved result as Cape Verde was the side that did more to win this one. The problem is that they didn't manage to finish any of their chances and Ghana did.

A great tournament for the Blue Sharks and I doubt if Ghana will manage to reach the final if they keep playing like this.

Ah such a shame, well done Cape Verde regardless. They have been the heroes of the tournament! Respect for Cabo!
