Serie B in the next season, in the past seasons and forever

TAR admitted Entella to serie B. Entella might be the first Italian club to play games in serie C and then in serie B in the same season. It's the new episode of a crazy season started with 19 clubs who chose to start the season in contempt of the rules and with the support of the same Lega serie B.

TAR's decisions must be enforced and according to TAR serie B must have 22 clubs. No surprise, these are the rules and TAR just remind the fools who started a 19-club serie B what are the rules. Now it will be interesting to see how serie B will be brought to 22 clubs, what clubs will be chosen, since there are more than three pretending to be admitted back to serie B, and what will happen with the fixtures.

Lecce back too.

Interestingly enough for me personally, the coaches of Brescia (Corini) and Lecce (Liverani) were both amongst my favourite central midfielders in Serie A in their playing days. Both had good football brains.

Foggia return to serie C instead.

The current season will be remember as one of the worst from the point of view of the application of rules.
At the beginning of the season 19 clubs decided to start the season, no matter whether the rules were that the participants had to be 22 and 6 clubs had titles for the repechage. Now Palermo, third at the end of the season, has been excluded from promotion playoffs and relegated to serie C due to financial irregularities and for some reason the Lega serie B has decided that the relegation playoff between Salernitana and Foggia should not be played anymore and Foggia had to go to serie C, but Foggia appealed to TAR and TAR obviously agreed with Foggia that the relegation playoff had to be played.

In the meanwhile Cittadella is the first finalist of the serie B playoffs after defeating Benevento 3-0 at Vigorito. Unpredictable, after the win (2-1) of Benevento at Tombolato. Pescara - Hellas Verona will tell us the second finalist (0-0 in the first leg at Bentegodi).

You know what? I fear that Cittadella will gain the promotion to serie B. In the regular season Hellas defeated Cittadella at Bentegodi 4-0, during the Christmas holidays, but the result at Tombolato is fresher, less than one month ago, and it's a 3-0 win for Cittadella. I'm all but a fan of Hellas, right the contrary, but the presence of Cittadella in serie A would be depressing the way it was the presence of Carpi.

Verona in Serie A again would be boring. Rather see new faces in.

No relegation for Palermo, but 20 points docked. Enough for keeping them out of the promotion playoffs (they didn't participate in anyway). As a consequence Foggia are relegated to serie C, while there will be a playoff between Venezia and Salernitana which will determine the club who will join Padova, Carpi and Foggia in serie C.

It will be a very rich serie B championship the next one. Just one club is missing, maybe the one with the biggest potential (Palermo) or the other finalist of the promotion playoffs, a club with great tradition anyway (Padova).

Ascoli
Bari
Benevento
Brescia
Cagliari
Cittadella
Como
Cosenza
Frosinone
Genoa
Modena
Padova or Palermo
Parma
Perugia
Pisa
Reggina
SPAL
Sudtirol
Ternana
Venezia

17 clubs on 20 have already been in serie A, 12 on 20 have been in serie A for at least 10 seasons. There are 9 (sort of) scudetti of Genoa, 1 scudetto of Cagliari, the national and international trophies of Parma, the Italian cup of Venezia and many epic seasons spent in serie A at the highest level.

Would like cagliari to spend a few seasons down in B...

Would like parma and brescia back up due to the following they bring with them. Brescia have a decent as they made the playoffs but parma needs to improve a lot.
If I have to pick a third it would be Pisa.
