The battle between the two top teams of Group 7 deserves it's own thread. :pp

Some notes:

Couceiro changed the formation and that worked out. Now we have versatile three man midfield. Šemberas is always sitting deep but with two men around him he enjoys time and space he was never given before. Pilibaitis can help him in defence or support attack while Kšanavičius operates in the hole and depending on a situation can act as a second striker or as a central midfielder. The formation is adaptable (it can look like as any of 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2) and allows to play some football in the middle.

Less long balls. Yesterday sometimes it caused troubles as players have given the ball away cheaply in our own half, but it is still better than commitment to direct football regardless the opponent.

Long shots. I can barely remember Lithuanian to score from outside the box for the national team before. Over the last week Stankevičius and Mikoliūnas scored with long range efforts against Romania and Stankevičius' long range free kick was deflected into the net by Danilevičius yesterday.

Pressing. With out-and-out defensive midfielder players have more freedom to close down opposition players early. And they are not afraid to do that.
