For the South American side I would add Solano in the back. Have you seen hime play? (former Boca, plays in New Castle now) he's the best thing to come out of Peru in a while. Although Ronaldo is injured, you cant forget about him. Salas would be a great back up. Hamilton Ricard is also good, but theres too much competition up front. How About Cordoba? He's also good in the back.Roque Santa Cruz could be an option. I also like the was David Pizarro(udinese) plays. I also like Oliveira (Uruguay) and from Ecuador Graziani and Aguinaga (although he's a bit old)

Reguarding the European side, how could you forget abot Bekham ? even Scholes. Personaly, I wouldnt play Vieri, Theres much more talent up front like Henry or Anelka.

I'd add two GK subs on either side

Roa for South America (if the game is not on Saturdays ...)
Toldo for Euro

yup i just got a little biased towards anelka.
i'll put shevchenko intead of anelka.
i didnt put cannavaro because otherwise the defence would be more italian.i didnt want the team to be swung in one nations favour.

well iam a die hard real madrid fan and i wanted to put salgado in for thuram.but thuram is better.
salgado is a right back and cannot be put into the left back position.

i think going to psg would be great for anelka that will give him a chance to regain the lost confidence.

quite questionable calls argentina
cafu in midfield, rivaldo as an attacker.
cafu is better as wing back, but zaneti is already there.so i would put cafu on the bench veron as right midfielder(hes versatile)and rivaldo as play maker and salas as batigols partner.
recoba or ronaldinho it doesnt matter both are good but ronaldinho is my favourite so i will put him in.
europe
davids as defensive midfield NO WAY put somrone like dino baggio or roy keane or guardiola.
other wise europe is perfect.

me lineups

Anelka, have you seen Juventus play? Davids play as an defensive midfielder at Juventus and they almost never concede an goal.

anyway here is my teams:

-----Dida------
Cafu--Montero--Cordoba--R.Carlos
Zanetti---Redondo---Rivaldo
----------Verón-------------
--Batigol-------Recoba---

---Shevchenko--Raul-------
--------Zidane-----------
Nedved----Davids----Figo
Lizarazu--Nesta--Cannavaro--Thuram

I must admit that my knowledge about the south american nationals (except the two big) are limited. Cordoba although have me impressed. Choosing an striker to accompany the great batigol was otherwise my hardest pick.

The europan team came quite easy, except the strikers. There are many talented strikers, but I think this pair would work good together. Also I wanted to include Maldini instead of Lizarazu...

That doesn't look like SA all-stars, that's more like the Argentinean/Brazilian Stars. Get Rid of Lopez up front and replace him with Salas. Get rid of Cafu and put Solano. It's gotta be fair, Argentina and Brazil are not the only SA teams you know, although they are DAMN GOOD!

-------------Chilavert------------

--Solano--Montero--Cordoba--Roberto Carlos

--------------Redondo-------------------

--Zanetti--------------------Rivaldo----

---------------Veron-------------------

-------Salas--------------Batistuta-----

That's more like S.A. All-Stars. Peruvians, Brazilians, Uruguayans, Colombians, Chileans, Paraguayans and Argentineans.

That's fair, and they would still kick ass.

PS-I don't care about Euro stars

Hurrah for Paquador!

Euro all stars 4-4-2

Van der Sar
Thuram Stam Nesta Maldini
Figo Zidane Davids Zenden
Henry Kluivert

Davids operating as defesive-mid
Zidane operating as attacking-mid, or what he's re-knowned for, playmaker

Van Der Sar is simply the best keeper in Europe. commanding, unflappable, cool, increddible shot-stopper, on his day he's un-beatable. He didn't get beating once in normal time during Euro 2000.

Thuram, simply best right-back in Europe, Cannavaro comes close, Thuram is more experience. Left-back it's Italy's man first choice, the best ever, Paolo Maldini, ahead of the speedy Lizarazu.
Figo, on the right-side, any world team or euro team can't go without Figo, same with Zidane, best playmaker, best overall player in the world at the moment. Davids brings argessiveness, and a never-say-die attitude to the team, you need that against the tough South American teams, and don't tell me a team is better off without Davids.
Zenden has proved himself to be the most feared and exciting left-winger in Europe during Euro 2000. I could put Nedved there, but I'd rather put a player who specialies in that position.
And Europe's most irresistable attack right now has to be the tandem of Kluivert and Henry. I mean Raul hardly showed anything during Euro 2000, and it was clear that the French midfield looked much towards Henry than Anelka during Euro 2000

i posted a topic like this in teh INTER forum almost 3 months ago.

CANAVARRO is not a right back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRR!!!!!!! He is an inside back.

Why can't people get over Kluivert the man is a mental teeny bopper. He is the most mentally weak person in football world wide.

The man is a such a punk. Not a kick against Nesta in teh semifinal.....i mean he and Bergkhamp are such clowns. Two losers of the worst class. if you can't make it in Italy you are almost definately a punk or you were mistreated in the case of Viera and Dabo. kluivert in no way was ill-treated he is simply a waste of sperm.

So tactically inept so easily wound up.....the SOuth Americans would have a field day with that clown.

Here is Europe's best possible line up.

3-4-1-1-1
Toldo/Kahn/Buffon doesn't really matter.

.........Nesta
Thuram.........Canavarro
.....Davids..Viera......
Nedved..............Zenden
..........Zizou..........
..........Figo...........
..........Shevchenko

Nesta the best libero since Baresi

Thuram and Canavarro? just watch them at Parma this season.

Davids and Viera untouchables as the best defencvie midfielders Europe has to offer.

Nedved and Zenden can play in such a way because they have defencive capabilities and can play without a defender behind them.

Zizou as a stable central midfielder and Figo in a totally roaming role.

And Shevchenko needs no support at all but has great support in Figo, Nedved and Zenden. Zidane would play a bit deeper simply passing the ball around and keeping it fluid and keeping possession leaveing the real playmaking to Luis "the disLoyal" Figo.

But no matter who Europe put up they would probablylose to the South Americans.

South America would have the best team by a long long way.
.........Dida or Chilavert
...........Montero.........
......Cordoba....Samuel...
.......Veron.....Redondo.....
Zanetti..................R.Carlos
.............Rivaldo...........
...Salas/Recoba......Batistuta.....

of course a fit R9 walks onto this team in place of el Matador and Chino with ease.

Fabien O'Neil is also in the running for the Veron and Redondo's jobs as is Emerson.

And yes i have alot of Brasilians and Argies here but its simply a matter of the truth Zanetti Carlos Batigol Rivaldo Redondo Samuel and Veron are all the best in their positions in SOuth America

O INTER O MORTE!!!!!!

Fernando Torres on English defenders "....the truth is most of them lack defensive positioning as a result of their reliance on strength and aggression and leave so much space for you to take advantage of.”

David Trezeguet: Anyway to score in European Cups is easier if compared to Serie A league, since in Champions League clubs give more space to opponents

South America would win because of greater individual talent..........in a one off match individual talent always wins out.
