Quarter Final Fixture 3: Brazil x Paraguay (July 17, 2011)

Another big quarter final clash on the way. Interesting to see that out of the 4 best teams (arguable) in the tournament, two will be heading home after the quarters.

Brazil are the favorites, but probably not by that much. Paraguay has a decent team, nothing special, but its really hard to beat them.

Pato and Neymar will hope to continue their vein of form after grabbing a brace against the Ecuadorians.

For Paraguay, their gritty midfield could be an advantage over the seemingly lightweight Brazilian midfield. Haedo Valdez could YET AGAIN prove dangerous when coming off the bench.

My prediction: 1-1...Brazil wins in the penalties

After watchinn them again yesterday, Paraguay on their tie and Brasil on their win (Vs one of the eliminated ones) Im goinn with Martino's Team..After getting chewed yesterday (BTW the second goal by Venezuela was totally off-sides and it should have been negated, but the chilean ref sucks..I hope he's done on this Cup) after the tie by their Coach, The Paraguas will be able to withstand the brasilian fury without many problems.

Usually, if this match came anytime before the Copa, I'd see Brazil with a 2-1 victory. But, now that we've seen them play a few games in Copa America, I'd have to say a 1-1 draw in which Brazil wins on penalties. And no, I'm not copying nindra .

Speaking of Paraguay, anyone got a pic of the chick from last night's game with Venezuela? the one with the great rack who had 'fuerza Paraguay' on her top.

Thanks

I want Paraguay to beat Brazil for 2 reasons: for the people of Paraguay and for Inter's players to go on vacation earlier.

No one will be upset if Larissa strips, though. Not even the Brazilians.

Dunga is that you?

Quando eu morrer
Não quero vela nem pranto
Quero um caixão em preto e branco
Com a bandeira do meu coringão.

Muita música, mulheres, cerveja gelada
Mostrem pra rapaziada a força da nossa nação
Façam mais uma coisa por mim,
Uma placa escrita assim:
"Aqui repousa um campeão".

Sou coringão, sou gaviões
Eternamente o campeão dos campeões!

I see Ramires as an offensive player, not a defensive player. He hussles the field and usually involved in our goals. So theres nothing Dunga about playing with 1 and a half DM

Where were you when we lost 1-7?
