Group C: Argentina vs Paraguay

-

Should be a good game since both teams want to win the group and avoid facing Mexico in the next round.

This will be a game to test many young players. Anyway, Argentina will win it.

Not sure about that, I think Paraguay has been a force in this competition and Argentina 2 will surely not have it that easy. As a matter of fact I predict a draw or Paragua win...

Which means that Zanetti will play at Left-back.

PROBABLE STARTING XI

Argentina: Roberto Abbondanzieri, Hugo Ibarra, Nicolas Burdisso, Daniel Diaz, Javier Zanetti, Luis Gonzalez, Fernando Gago, Esteban Cambiasso, Pablo Aimar, Rodrigo Palacio and Carlos Tevez.

Paraguay: Aldo Bobadilla, Dario Veron, Julio Caceres, Paulo Da Silva, Carlos Bonet, Claudio Morel Rodriguez, Edgar Barreto, Julio Dos Santos, Jonathan Santana, Nelson Cuevas and Salvador Cabanas.

Who knows colo could be right but IMO Argentina has to win otherwise they face Mexico in the quarterfinal followed by Brazil in the semifinal, so if they lose tonight then they get the tougher road to travel and thats never a good thing.

These are the guys who are supposed to be trying for starting positions, to impress Basile! Tevez has been whining about sitting on the bench, so now he's starting and he's running amuck like a wet chicken.

Nice goal from Mascherano.

PS: Gago didn't impress at all, if that is his Madrid form then i doubt he'd turn into anything great.

ARG vs PAR

Match wasnt brilliant by any means. But it shudnt mean anything as both teams rested many 1st team players and both had qualified. The worst thing about the game was the referee. He was a disaster.Messi came on and turned on the style.Excellent finish from mascherano. The defense of Argiedidnt have anything to at all .Tevez is suffering from the EPL effect.Get the ball and shoot.Palacio looked good

The ref let things play on both sides, and was fairly even until the end when he seemed to let way too much go unnoticed. Palacio is not a very intelligent player. All he did all game was take it down the side and cross aside from one good shot. Maybe if we had Crespo this would work or Milito but not with Tevez as his partner
