Dearest Argies and Brazucas

Hello

Please get your shit together for 2010. You are the only south american hope, since Uruguay evidently are a team of the dinosaur age.
Good luck, and commiserations

Argentina and Brazil were the top 2 favorites and the World Cup was in Europe, that says a lot about both teams.

Yes we failed but 2010 will be on neutral grounds and Europe wont have home field advantage.

Exactly. On neutral grounds (not in SA or Europe), South America always wins.

1970 - Brasil (Mexico)
1986 - Argentina (Mexico)
1994 - Brasil (USA)
2002 - Brasil (Japan/Korea)

They never won and will never win a wc in South America. At least Brasil won in Europe.
With only 4 wcs in South America and 10 in Europe. They are tied in number of wc's with us (counting this wc). Just Imagine if it was the other way around. 10 wc's in South America. It would not be even fair.
p

PS: Don't forget next one is on neutral grounds. And 2014 will probably be in Brasil. That's two more for South America. p

Horacio Elizondo will honor South American refereeing in the World Cup final.

07 / 07 / 2006

Argentinean referee Horacio Elizondo was designated by FIFA to referee the Germany 2006 World Cup final, this Sunday July 9, when France and Italy come face to face. His magnificent performance in his first four arbitrations in this World Cup, made him the object of such a distinguished honor. He will be the first judge to referee both the inaugural match and the final in the same World Cup.
