Otra prueba para sumar más experiencia

El próximo lunes, la selección de Venezuela disputará un amistoso frente al Inter de Milán en el estadio "Giussepe Meazza"

CARACAS (EFE) -- La selección de Venezuela, que dirige Richard Páez, disputará el próximo lunes un encuentro amistoso en el estadio "Giussepe Meazza" frente al Inter de Milán, italiano.

Portavoces de la federación Venezolana de Fútbol (FVF) confirmaron a EFE que la selección de Venezuela viajará el próximo fin de semana a Italia, donde disputará ese partido de carácter amistoso con el Inter de Milán, equipo donde juega el delantero brasileño Adriano y varias figuras del fútbol sudamericano.

Venezuela, que se encuentra en Belém, donde este miércoles cerrará su participación en las eliminatorias sudamericanas para Alemania 2006 en su visita a Brasil, regresará este jueves a Caracas.

Según los portavoces, de los 22 jugadores de Venezuela que viajarán el próximo fin de semana a Italia para enfrentar al Inter, varios de ellos regresarán a sus equipos, como el caso del centrocampista del Mallorca, Juan Arango, que se incorporará el jueves al equipo balear y el defensor Alejandro Cichero, que regresa al Litex de Bulgaria.

El inesperado viaje de la selección "vinotinto" a Europa, propició que casi toda la jornada del torneo apertura del fútbol de Venezuela, programada para el próximo domingo 16 de octubre, quedará aplazada para una nueva fecha.

Los portavoces indicaron que sólo se disputará un encuentro, el Aragua FC-Carabobo FC, ya que la mayoría de los jugadores que juegan en la liga local, serán bajas importantes de sus equipos, por lo que prefirieron aplazar cuatro partidos.

Este amistoso de Venezuela ante el equipo italiano, será uno de los últimos del año 2005, tras quedar la "vinotinto" eliminada de la fase final del Mundial de Alemania 2006, tras caer el pasado sábado como local ante Paraguay, por 0-1.

President Chavez has accepted the invitation and will be attend the match with a delegation from the Venezuelan government.

MILAN - Preparations continue for Monday's friendly match between Inter and Venezuela, to be played behind closed doors at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.

Over 100 Italian and international media organisations have already requested accreditations for the match, which will be attended by Venezuela president Hugo Chavez, his ministers and top-level state officials.

FC Internazionale has invited Italian foreign minister Gianfranco Fini, Milan mayor Gabriele Albertini and a delegation of officials from the city's local government.

Chávez can't dream to go near a football or baseball game here in Venezuela. He would be whistled, insulted and will have cans and glasses thrown at like hell. He can only go to football games in places like Milan and to baseball games in Cuba.

Anyway: 0-1 VICTORY.
