Both teams haven't had the best of preparations but Barcelona might be a tad more talented but Guarani will be very hard at home I say a draw might be in the cards.

Thiago Leitao Brasilian midfielder
Carlos Cardenas Goalscoring forward
Tulio Maravilla Famous Brasilian striker
Javier Guzman Capable midfielder

Santos Possibly the best team in brasil over the last couple of years. Last year finalist of the Libertadores. Have an squad of young and talented players. It is one of the main candidates to win it all.
Diego Posibly the best midfielder playing in Brasil. Simply awesome vision for the game.
Robinho Elusive dribbler and potent finisher. One of the most talented Brasilian players at the moment.
Elano Brasil NT midfielder can cover just about any position in the middle of the field.
Alex Brasil U23 central defender, impresive physically and technically only lacks a bit of experience to become the best defender in Brasil.
Alcides Brasil U20 world champion defender. Brought in to add depth in the defense
Robson Newcomer forward brought in to fill the hole left by the departure of Ricardo Oliveira.. One of the leading scorers in the Brasilerao last year.
Renato Excellent defensive midfielder.

Santos has looked very strong and the newcomers seem to be adapting pretty well. Santos will want start like they did last year with a win on the road. I expect the same this time around, despite a spirited effort from the Bolivians.

Wilsterman 2 - Santos 3

Santos starts the same way it started last year, if a bit less expectacularly, with a win on the road.

Great goal by Alex. That was a missile.

Paulo Cesar, Basilio, renato and Alex the best for Santos. Diego very mediocre performance. Robgol was non exixtent.

On the other hand Tulio maravilla scored for the Bolivians. It was not with his hand

Barcelona is in disarray Ruben Insua quited this week as coach over discrepancies with club officials. He felt that the team has not been reinforced properly and the players that he wanted were not signed. This was excacerbated with the loss to Deprotivo Quito 0-2 over the weekend in the local championship. Ricardo Armendariz was named as interim coach.

Wilsterman on the other hand hammered Aurora 4-0 in the Bolivian pre season tournament to bounce back from the loss to Santos last week at home.

Barcelona 4 - Wilsterman 0

Despite losing their coach in midweek, the team bounced back with a strong performance, especially in the second half. Wilsterman was simply outclassed.

Barcelona, down at sea level in Guayaquil, romped to victory over Jorge Wilstermann despite poor domestic form and the absence of Argentine coach Ruben Insua who resigned this week.

Winger Rodrigo Texeira scored the first and last goals in the 44th and 84th minutes, defender Fricson George added a free kick after a foul on Argentine midfielder Jose Chatruc and substitute Danny Vera hit the third.

A bit of a rematch of sorts, Santos who has some of the most prominent members of the Brasil U23 will a face a Guarani who has at least 5 members of the Paraguay U23 that eliminated the Brasilians from the pre olimpic tournament.

Santos didn't play in it's first game but still won. While Guarani also played badly and drew at home. It should be a very interesting match up.

Wilsterman vs Guarani

Game: 03/03/04 - Cochabamba Bolivia

A must win for Wilsterman. They have gained a single point so far.

Guarani will just be happy to come out with a draw that will leave them sitting pretty with 3 games to go.

WILSTERMANN: Sergio Galarza, Limberg Morejón, Adrián Cuadrado, Johnn Tierradentro, Edward Zenteno, Vladimir Marín, Edgar Olivares, Sergio Castillo, Thiago Leitao, Héctor Núñez y Tulio Maravilla.

GUARANI: Nelson Bernal, Gilberto Velázquez, Fidel Pérez, Julio Manzur, Aureliano Torres, Edgar González, Gustavo Arce, Víctor Hugo Cabrera, Osvaldo Díaz, Kenji Fukuda y Pablo Giménez.
