Cobreloa 0 - Liga de Quito 2

Liga put on a tremendous display and were unlucky not to win by more goals.

Cobreloa looked very limited and was nowhere near the level of last year team.

GROUP 4

Liga Dep. Universitaria 1 1 0 0 2:0 3
São Paulo FC 0 0 0 0 0:0 0
Alianza Lima 0 0 0 0 0:0 0
Cobreloa 1 0 0 1 0:2 0

Alianza Lima The recently crowned Peruvian champions is hoping to emulate the recent success of compatriot teams such Cristal and Cienciano in the international field. They have incorporated some good players to last year squad.
Jefferson Farfan Fast forward and great prospect.
Roberto Silva Big and strong center forward especially dangerous on the air
Aldo Olcese Creative midfielder though will miss this game through injury
Juan Jayo Peru NT defensive midfielder
Martin Hidalgo Peru NT left back
Marko Ciurlizza Multi purpose midfielder

Sao Paulo One of the more traditional Brasilian Libertadores campaigners. Sao Paulo will go for broke on this Libertadores. The loss of Ricardinho is big though and the team has been very inconsistent in the Paulista league.
Luis Fabiano Maybe the best striker in Brasil
Rogerio Ceni Experienced goalkeeper. One of the best in Brasil
Gustavo Nery consistent midfielder
Flavio Simplicio Anchor man of the midfield

I think is about 32 goals. That's excellent for a GK.

The game could have gone either way. It was a midfield battle for the most part and neither team displayed a great game.

Both teams will need to improve if they want to go far in this tournament.

Despite the score the game was fairly close, mainly because the lack of offensive weight for Liga in the first half. The second half was all Liga.

Halftime

Alianza 0 - Cobreloa 0

Not a good game at all so far. And these teams are showing why they are on the brink of being eliminated.

TOMA LDU!

We won 1 x 0, but we could have scored at least one goal more we wasted to many chances early on and were only able to score in the final half
