Olympic qualifiers

Chile is looking strong again to upset Argentina I think. If Chile makes it I will heavily consider going to Athens.

Still early days yet as first round counts for nothing once the second round begins.

Equipo PTS PJ GF GC
Brasil 7 3 8 1
Chile 6 2 6 0
Paraguay 3 2 3 4
Uruguay 1 2 1 4
Venezuela 0 3 1 10

Equipo PTS PJ GF GC
Argentina 4 2 2 1
Ecuador 3 1 1 0
Colombia 3 2 3 2
Perú 1 2 1 3
Bolivia 0 1 1 2

Ecuador crushed Peru 4-2 today and took over Argentina at the top of group B.

They meet next in which in all probability will be the decisive game of the group with the winner avoiding Brasil in the next round.

Tomorrow Brasil has the day off, While Paraguay dukes it out with hosts Chile and bottom team Venezuela meets Uruguay.

Well................the Chilean Olympic team of 2000 brought me some of my happiest soccer memories along with the 98 world cup. I enjoy the positive results although I cant see the games.

Tomorrow is Chile's most crucial game so far against Paraguay, a draw would suffice.

Im happy that Argentina is struggling which makes the path easier for my team. This Argentina team however isnothing compared to the one that didnt qualify in 2000 which included players like Saviola, D'Alessandro, Riquelme etc....

Firstly it's not so fair when the fans hate the competitions that their team are not doing well

As for the robbery in Chile-Paraguay 3-2,i didn't watch the match and i don't know if my wish is fair, but i want to see Chile this summer in my country even if they play 13 to 9 players in every game of the qualifying ones.

Since now,Chile looks the only team that can cause problems and break once again the Arg-Bra duo. Some new stars are born in this tournament for us,as this child Mark Gonzalez and "Beckham of Chile" Jose Luis Villanueva.

Mark Gonzalez - Lots of speed, poor accuracy on his crosses.

Hurrah for Paquador!

Argentina hammered Ecuador 5-2, playing well for the first time in the tournament. Both teams advanced to the next round alongside colombia.

Peru beat Bolivia 3-2, both teams are eliminated.

Tomorrow

Paraguay beat Uruguay 2-1 and eliminated them.

While Argentina continues to show their quality this time beating Colombia 4-2.
While Ecuador sent the Bolivia home winless and pointless by winning 3-2.

So Argentina and Chile advanced to the final round. While the other two teams will be decided with the games between Brasil - Colombia and Ecuador - Paraguay.

yes, we didn't need help
but that's also true that at least 3 paraguay players deserved a red card..they kicked from minute 1 to 90
