Official Thread: Bolivia vs Colombia

Bolivia was simply ridiculed by the Uruguayans, I am not sure if there was anything worth mentioning about their performance. They better improve tremendously, with the help of the high altitude they will try to run the Colombians into the ground.

Colombia put in a lackluster performance versus Brasil. They should loosen a little now that the Brasil game is behind them. But their midfield has to improve and they need someone to accompany Angel upfront.

Acosta is under tremendous pressure to right all the wrongs of the Uruguay game. As midfielder Cristaldo said if Bolivia wants to have any chance of competing for a spot in WC they can't afford to lose a single point at home.

Wholesale changes are expected in the Bolivian NT. For starters the team is going to show a 3-5-2 formation. Julio Cesar Baldivieso will take over the creative midfielder role. Striker Joaquin Botero will start as well as Juan carlos Paz in defense.

Colombia is in disarray after Monday's announcement by Victor Aristizabal that he will retire from international football after the Bolivia game. He is still upset about not being into consideration for Brasil game.

Maturana will makie four changes from the Brasil game. he was very dissapointed with the def. midfielders performance so he is replacing both. So Restrepo and Lopez are out, Vargas and Viafara are in. Grisales is also out making room for Aristizabal. While cortez takes the injured Bedoya's place.

Congrats, Goirre Nice turn around from the beating Bolivia took on Sunday.

I wonder where Megapolemico is. I hope he's found a hole to hide his head in.

Hurrah for Paquador!

Bolivia showed tremendous character, congrats Goirre. I certainly didn't see this coming. Boklivia showed that they are not going pushovers.

Colombia in the other hand looks in shambles, the midfield is bad shape and their so called "best defense of South America" is simply not secure at all. Masturana will be under tremendous pressure to right the ship before it sinks.

Difficult times for that federation....

fire him or let him quit? Is that a Money problem, But I read today that the players show him huge amount of loyalty

All the fingers point at the condition they play the game, head and body were apart! Bad, conditioning?

I remember the trashing in La paz to Brazil (2-0) and 3 Years ago a Huge come back to tie 3-3 argentina, due to the same problem.

Last month they trashed panama 3-0, But you are right no ene expected 4 nil

This time around will even be harder, the games in La Paz may fall as the back end of the week of qualifiers like it did this past weekend. That means simply zero time to recuperate and zero time to adapt to the altitude.
