Osorno pulled the shock of the tournament when they beat Catolica at San Carlos de Apoquindo Stadium. Now U. Catolica will have to try to win on the road or get eliminated.

Cienciano took advantage of the high altitude of Cuzco and beat Alianza Lima 1-0. Alianza Lima played the worst game I have seen them play this year. Even Farfan stunk the field.

Osorno has the upper hand. They hold a 1-0 lead over U. Catolica and they are playing at home. Osorno is certainly turning heads in this tournament.

Osorno went up 1-0 in this game but could not hold off U. Catolica who got a bit of help from the ref when he called a non-existent PK.

Tied 2-2 on aggregate the teams went to PKs with Catolica coming uot as winner.

The 'cruzados" will next face Cienciano of Cuzco.

The Osorno loss to the Referee, who ever so gratiously granted U Catolica the pass to the 2nd round ... is now in the Chilean Courts.....there has been a formal complaint filed in with the Chilean Govmnt Courts and dont be surprised if this has to be replayed .....

For now...and probably a suggestion thrown in the hat by the Catolica PR people...Chile is to play Osorno in their city a preparation.exhibition game very soon, and before the November Eliminatories..

It's one of the best moments in Cienciano's history.
Nice to see a peruvian team take advantage of the altitude finally.

Catolica was able to win 3-1 against the Peruvians, but did not come even close to overturning the embarrasing loss in Cuzco. Cienciano advances 5-3 in the global score.

Will be nice to see Diego and Robinho at the "Garcilazo de la Vega" in Cusco . Hopefully Cienciano can make us proud and don't get scared to play a brazilian team like it happens often.
And then we beat Brazil here in Lima.
