With the appointment of Nelson Acosta as coach of Bolivia the teams are set to start their final preparations for the most difficult Qualifying group in the World!!!!
Argentina: which team will show up under Bielsa's tutelage, the dissapointing WC squad or or the world beater team that cruise through the last qualifying campaign.
Ecuador: cinderella no more. Teams are now aware of them and will be prepared. Besides can Gomez perfomed more magic??? especially now with Aguinaga gone.
Brasil: Wold cup champ but to be honest I have only seen them play well for 1 month in the last 4 years. Yeah you know what month was that. Parreira better start getting better play or he will not last as long as Luxemburgo did.
Paraguay: with Chilavert gone and a new generation coming on, it will be very interesting to see what they can do this time around. Though one thing is for sure they will be tough to play against and more than likely they will beat Brasil
Uruguay: Carreño is supossed to be bringing a new approach, "attacking football". Yes that's right Uruguay playing attacking football outside of Montevideo. I have to see it to believe it.
Colombia: Copa America champs seem to be putting together a very competitive team, but the lack of goalscoring will held them back IMO. This time they are playing next door to hell, at least temperature wise, in Barranquilla.
Peru: As usual will display good technical football but unless Pizarro scores like he does for Bayern. They will have a hard time fighting for one of the top spots.
Bolivia: Bolivia has some talented players but organizationally they are a mess. Only team besides Venezuela without a TV contract. Last team to get a coach. In fighting between clubs and NT. But the altitude is eternal equalizer.
Venezuela: Ever improving, this Vinitinto team is IMO their best ever. The continuation of Paez was a huge plus. Still second or third from the bottom is the best they can hope realistically.
Chile; nothing to go for them but up. After embarrasingly finishing last last time around, the Chileans have the talent to fight for a qualifying spot. They just need to believe in themselves and without Zamorano it will not be easy.
