Colombia

Hello,
I'd like to know what is Colombia's usual starting 11 as we play them next week in the opening game of the Confed' Cup. What are their strengths and weaknesses? What tactical scheme do they usually use? Who's their key player (Cordoba of Inter? but who else? ).

Thank you and all the bst to Colombia (except against France that is... ).

Cheers.

The strong point of this team is the defense.

Oscar Cordova (Besiktas)

Gonzalo Martinez (Udinese), Ivan Cordova (Inter), Mario Yepez (Nantes) and Gerardo Bedoya (Racing - Arg)

Midfield will be more than likely be either a Dep. Cali based or a Once Caldas based one. I think it will be a Dep. Cali based looked for Diaz, Patiño and Hernandez from that team to be in it. With Valentierra from Caldas joining them.

Forward line is the weakest area
Veteran Aristizabal (Cruzeiro - Bra) and probably Arzuaga from Junior.

They have been pretty strong passing the ball around, simply are unable to score consistently.

The South American champions are just starting to put the pieces together of their team. They are missing key players from America and especially Medellin. But I think enough talent to put in a good performance and even challenge the big guns Brasil and France.

While the penta World Cup champions seem to start to get things going. This tournament will go a long way to see if Parreira is on the right track.
