Arg vs Portugal in QF's.

Book it

France have beaten Argentina just twice in 11 meetings (1971, 1986) - Les Bleus have never beaten them at a World Cup

If no other reporting existed on Trump/Russia, the fact that the FBI started a CI investigation to determine whether or not the sitting president of the US was either comprised by or an agent of Russia, it would be the biggest political story...ever.

Soros is very, very rich and funds every SJW-cause imaginable. Those are facts, not a conspiracy.

I agree with him that this was a total setup

Depends. If Sampaoli gets fired, Argentina will thrash Africa. Tight affair otherwise.

It's 70-30 for France, a priori.

Playing defensive and closing spaces is the only chance for Argentina, leaving Messi and another attacker (preferably Kun) to do something in the offensive part. It's a negative approach, I know, but you have to be pragmatic here. Leaving spaces behind is a suicide against France, but they can find problems against a good defensive system.

They did it in WC'90 against Brazil, with that action of Maradona with Caniggia in the last minutes after defending the whole game. And it was a miracle.

They need another miracle on Saturday. But miracles can happen when you have God in your side.

It's impossible for this team to close opposition down like in 1990, huge mess of a team.

Not bigotting

I'm afraid to watch such a wreck of a game.

And they clearly do, just look at Diego.

Anyway, does anyone else want an Argentina-Portugal QF?

Argentina 2-1. I just feel France lacks hunger. They have no drive, motivation. As bad as Argentina and their defensive line are, they sill try to create or make effort, regardless of the result.

This could be a final. Can not wait.

No idea who will win but I hope it goes to pens

Without it gravity is just gravy.

I hadn't seen this possibility. It would make sense with a showdown.. poor teams though.

Argentina’s defence has no chance...

Bill Shankly: "If you're in the penalty area and you're not sure what to do, stick it in the net and we can discuss the options afterwards."

Arguably the greatest problem for the defense - with Caballero gone - is Mascherrano. How the hell doesn't Argentina have a decent holding midfielder these days?

This is like a final for Argentina, if they win this they will go far... not because the rest of their path is easier but because how much room they have for improvement with the time and confidence they get with winning this one.

This is a bit like France - Spain in 2006. France just about got through the group stage and Spain were the big favourites but France had enough quality to hurt Spain.

Portugal?

Without Jesus, a hopeless end. With him, an endless hope.

This 2018 France looks so weirdly similar to the 2006 Spain and nothing like the 2006 France.
