Cool WORLD CUP 2018 FANTASY DRAFT: Teams and Results

Post your Round 1 lineup here.

Deadline is...well, you can't post a player who has already played in the round. So basically you should post the lineup before the first player you want to use takes the field in Russia.

Keep in mind the rule: The posted team must have 1 GK, minimum 3 Defenders, minimum 2 Midfielders and MAXIMUM 3 Forwards

Andy Christ: Group Stage Round 1

GK
Willy Caballero (ARG)
DF
Danny Rose (ENG)
Jan Vertonghen (BEL)
John Stones (ENG)
MF
Jesse Lingard (ENG)
Jordan Henderson (ENG)
Andres Iniesta (ESP)
James Rodriguez (COL)
FW
Lionel Messi (ARG)
Romelo Lukaku (BEL)
Jefferson Farfán (PER)

Subs: Gerard Pique (ESP), Marcus Rashford (ENG), Lucas Biglia (ARG)

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

Poland vs Senegal is scheduled to end at around 18:45 whereas Russia vs Egypt begins at 20:00 the same evening. Therefore, some fantasy games add Russia v Egypt to Round 1, so that there is a longer break for considering changes, updating and so on. Portugal vs Morrocco starts at 14:00 the next day. I'd be in favour of making this change, but don't know how you guys with Russian or Egyptian players feel about it.

Ftr, this isn't a problem from Round 2-3 since the Round 3 games are synchronized.

not really a problem for us...those who have Russian or Egyptian players simply have to post their Round 2 lineup before that game

there's only random speculation

but he's apparently training alone and there's not much which is hinting at him being ready

my guess is that he won't be fielded against Uruguay but will play in the next 2

Ok, but technically they (cumi, Toni, rdn) would still have to be ok with the rest of us having that slightly longer deadline.

Speaking of, it occurred to me it's actually an advantage to have players from Group A, B and so on, in that it'll be a little harder to predict before the deadline whether some Columbian or Belgian plays, all else being equal. That was part of the reason I chose a Uruguayan and and Argie in my final picks (granted, a small part of the reason ).

yeah I think it sort of evens out for this reason...there are some advantages and some disadvantages in having players from early groups

Wait, I didnt read this thread properly. You changed the rules?

In the original thread it reads

Quote:
Once the tournament starts (14th June), you will post a team consisting of 11 players for 1st round.
I.e. full lineup before first game in round.

Not bigotting

well, as I said in the OP of this thread, what is really important is to post it before any of your players step on the pitch
