Bor. Dortmund vs. Milan AC

Yeah, my personal match of the year

This time, I have to betray my German teams, this match is a clear thing for me: Forza Milan all the way

Though I will support the Italian side, I fear Dortmund is the favourite to win it. They are - despite their loss at Stuttgart - in a very good form, their attack is magnificient with Koller who proves to be a valueable player (not a deadly finisher though) and the Brazilian duo of Ewerthon and Amoroso.

These three strikers get deadly passes delivered by Czech super talent Rosicky, the player that rocked the Buli when he arrived last year during midseason.

Their defense seems to be very solid, with the youngsters Metzelder and Kehl, both with good chances to make the WC squad of Germany, the current German internationals veterans Heinrich and Wörns and ex-world class defender Kohler at coachs Sammer disposal.

Lehmann isnt banned for international matches either, and damnit, he in the form of his life aswell

Milan has suffered a lot during this season. An early coach change, and not a good one, a lot of injury probs...

Their best player is still out with injury, Shevchenko, undoubtly the best striker of the world in top form. Rui Costa, their playmaker is still trailing his form, still it seems Ancelotti wont field youngster Pirlo who made a great match vs Parma lately. In general, the match vs Parma gave me some hope

The expected lineups are, according to sport1.de:

Dortmund: Lehmann - Reuter, Wörns, Metzelder, Heinrich - Evanilson, Stevic, Rosicky, Dede - Koller, Amoroso

Mailand: Abbiati - Roque Junior, Maldini, Laursen, Kaladze - Gattuso, Albertini (Rui Costa), Ambrosini, Serginho - Inzaghi, José Mari

So Dortmudn wont field Ewerthon from the beginning, that would be nice their wing backs are actually prettty lousy, both Dede and Evanilson. Stevic, though, I rate highly, however, I am suprised Ricken isnt expected to play.

Milano... well, RJ on the right And no Contra, thats pretty stupid, since Contra would have an easy time with Dede, would eat the kid alive. But it would be great to see Laursen getting some playing time over damn Chamot. Inzaghis return is the most vital thing for Milan, a lot will depend on him and serginho to create pressure on the wing agaisnt the brazilian joke called evanilson

I would, though, like to see Pirlo getting included in the team, maybe even up front instead of Jose Mari.

Anyway, Forza Milan, a tough match, but we are surely not without any chance...

And I will be there I hope so at least

Not for the first, but the first important match

Well, I am aware of the fact we are the outsider in this match, but I dont care We will still give Dortmund a hard time and maybe even bring home a good result...

AC Milan have been unlucky this season with injuries to Inzaghi, Shevchenko, Rui Costa, Maldini, etc. But the return of Pippo has sprung them back to life and they are back in Champions League contention for next season.

Borussia Dortmund have been near or at the top of the Bundesliga all season. Sammer's boys have so much talent and the management have made shrewd purchases recently with Rosicky, Amoroso, Ewerthon, Koller, Kehl completely changing the look of the team. But somehow when I look at the team, something is missing. They seem to miss that warrior that can fight in the trenches and mentally will the team to victory in the important games when it counts. Does that remind anyone of Sammer the player?

Dortmund were unimpressive in making its way to the semis. They barely squeeked through some games and only got enough of a result to advance. And in the Bundesliga, they beat up on weaker teams to get the points. Against top flight teams, the results were not the same.

I am glad that the opposition is not Inter. Hector Cuper has done an absolutely masterful job there. But for Dortmund vs Milan? Objectively I'll go with BVB but only because Shevchenko is missing, Maldini is just returning, and Rui Costa and Pirlo aren't quite there yet.

1:0 after a penalty, Ewerthon scored a goal before but was clear offside (damn bought linesman ). Could be a thrashing, poor Italian guys in the stadium .

What a performance by Dortmund, it can come pretty bad for Milan...

2:0 Amoroso after a big mistake by Laursen, and one minute earlier Dede ****ed the whole Milan midfield . That was by far better than everything ZZ or Real showed in the 90 minutes against Bayern.

Mistake Abbiati imo who got the pass through his legs . Rui Costa 2 minutes in the game, got the yellow card.

Manuel, are you still in the stadium or did you leave yet?

I have an idea, run on the pitch, hit one of your lousy players (you have many of them ) and claim to be a Dortmund fan, mabye it's a win at the "green table" then .

The way Dortmund are playing, I tip them to lift the UEFA Cup this year.

Congratulations! You guys have earned it.

Milan out in disgrace and Italian football without European silverware again. :depress:
