Saturday: Frankfurt, Tuesday: Munich. "We have two opportunities to have a rather conciliatory end of season", said Jürgen Klopp prior to the Bundesliga match against Eintracht and before the Cup semi-final away against Bayern. The head coach doesn't fear that the clash in Munich will already be in the minds of his players prior to the league game against Frankfurt.

"The lads are on the right track. They want to leave their own mark on the end of this season. They are focussed, they are concentrated. We would be crazy to bet everything on the Cup" says Klopp and mentions the spectacular performance of Bayern in the UEFA Champions League against Porto (6:1).

Now only Frankfurt counts, only the League counts, we are only one point away from being 7th. Coming from the 18th position and ending up there wouldn't be so bad", points out Jürgen Klopp and advises his team to "remember the Paderborn game. The first half wasn't as bad as people made it sound like and the second half was really great."
"If Frankfurt plays along, it will be a really good game"

Maybe the style of the Hessians will accommodate the Black and Yellows. The league games involving Eintracht Frankfurt are the ones where the most goals are scored and it's a fact that so far the Hessians haven't scored more than their opponents in away games. "In the past Thomas Schaaf always let Werder Bremen play a spectacular football" reminds Klopp: "If Frankfurt plays along, it will be a really good game."

Moreover, Borussia Dortmund want to get a revenge after the defeat in the first tie. "I still do not know until today how we could lose that game" questions the Dortmund coach: "It was one of our many bizarre games. We want to eliminate this weakness of ours."

guess Marco Reus will not be risked for that match in order to be an option on Wednesday against Bayern. Frankfurt also missing some key-players (Meier, Russ, Anderson, Oczipka and eventually Aigner as well)

Phew, you almost confused me. The game is on Tuesday though, just checked. I also thought it was because I don't want to tape it again because of tennis training. So Tuesday is much better...

Starting lineup, confirmed:

Langerak
Durm - Sokratis - Hummels - Schmelzer
Bender - Ginter
Blaszcykowski - Kagawa - Mkhitaryan
Aubameyang

Bench: Reimann, Subotic, Jojic, Kampl, Reus, Immobile, Ramos

Gundogan not playing because of a throat infection but should be back for Tuesday, Reus on the bench and not risked either while Piszczek doesn't make the squad and is unlikely to be ready for Bayern either from what I'm reading. Not sure why Roman isn't playing, but it's a good chance for Langerak to show what he can do again.

Must win game obviously in the race for EL football, let's see how this goes against a weakened Frankfurt side.

Another win in the end, decent showing too although not too much can be drawn out of this game as Frankfurt was missing half of their first choice XI and our players were clearly not playing at their maximum intensity wise with the Bayern game on Tuesday to come. Hoffenheim got a late win too so they'll stay in 7th ahead of next week's game in Sinsheim, looks like it'll be a must win at this point if this team is to qualify for the Europa League through the league this season (unless of course a surprise is sprung at AA this week).

Hopefully the likes of Piszczek, Reus, and Gundogan will be ready to go for all the remaining games, wish I could say the same about Nuri but it seems like no one really knows when he'll be back still. His season is probably already over.

Nice and cinvincing victory which still keeps us in the race for europe. Would be gold for any Bvb Fan on this Planet to finish this crap season ahead of Schalke.
