certainly for many people living in the "Ruhrpott" one of the most important matches of the season.

BVB will most likely be without Pisczek, Durm, Großkreutz. Doubtful are Socratis, Kampl.

Schalke will travel to the signal iduna park without their starlet Draxler plus Matip, Goretzka, Farfan, Kolasinac, Obasi while Huntelaar, Fuchs and Aogo are returning after their injuries.

85 matches BVB vs Schalke in Bundesliga history and the statistic is very even.

30 wins for BVB
30 wins for Schalke 04
goals 130:121

Great display, best of the season by far. Hard to pick out a standout player from the match, not one of them put a foot wrong and if not for some bad luck/inefficiency it could have easily ended 5-0 or 6-0. Schalke just did not turn up, but this team was more than up for the occasion.

We've given ourselves some real hope of entering the top 4 argument again with the form over the past few weeks, just need to keep winning as it's almost a guarantee at least one of the above rivals will drop points every week so it'll be vital to stay consistent. This seemed impossible just a month ago but now there's a window of opportunity opened up once again for this team, it'll be interesting to see how things go now.

Mkhitaryan's tears after his goal was an emotional moment, really happy for him that he finally got the monkey off his back and on such a day too, probably his most important goal since arriving at the club and maybe the confidence booster he needs to kick-start his season. One can only hope.

massive win indeed. never have seen a more one-sided derby vs schalke than this one. we dominated them from the first to the final whistle and one big factor was our midfield and Schalkes inability to interrupt the influence Hummels had in this game with his playmaker role from the backline. he really had a great touch yesterday and Reus was once more a weapon and should have scored earlier.

this batman & robin thing is nothing of my taste, especially in the situation we are in.. 4 wins and hopfelly more to come!!

The funny thing about this game is that Schalke had one single shot in the entire game and it wasn't even on target.

Definitely an overrated club in my book.

Is that batman and robin celebration new?

Only saw it on Saturday, but that was also the first time I watched highlights of Dortmund in a long time

Lex Immers - Pace & power. Holland's #1 box to box player

Feyenoord forum - the place to talk about this phenomenon
