Nuri Sahin out for at least 2-3 months cause of a knee-injury surgery...

ok, update via twitter:

Borussia Dortmund's Director of Communications - @SaschaFligge - has said that BVB currently assume Immobile is not seriously injured.

hmm, leaving the pitch on a stretcher, now not seriously injured... wait, ah, he is italian... p just kiddin, really hope it's nothing which will delay his progress here

Hmm Henrikh left the pitch during Armenia's qualification match earlier as well, he signaled to the coaching zone that he had injured himself and can't continue the match. One day later it was reported that his injury wasn't "serious" and he can participate in Dortmund's next training. BVB's new tactics in injury prevention? p

Sheesh, so far it seems like this team won't catch much of a break on the injury front this year either. alm:

Reus out for 4-5 weeks, Sahin for at least 2 months, Kuba and Gundogan still slowly recuperating, and you never know if Hummels/Bender/Subotic's fitness can be relied on regularly anymore. Hopefully Heno is fit for the weekend though at least, a bit thin in that department in terms of options now with Reus out and Hofmann leaving on loan.

Now with Kuba out again for 4-6 weeks. This is tough. Eerily reminiscent of last year.

also thought that the only positive thing from this weekend would be no additional injuries, but this is getting really ridiculous right now...

concerning the Sokratis injury:

Good news for Sokratis. The injury the BVB defender picked up against Borussia Mönchengladbach is not as serious as first thought. BVB club doctor Markus Braun diagnosed a “non-displaced, stable fibular fracture” that will keep the Greek out for only two weeks, which would make him available again for BVB’s Champions League fixture at Arsenal on 26 November.

the Reus injury-saga

:nervous:
he really has a bad injury streak this season...

Germany international Marco Reus has suffered a sprain as well as a bone bruise in his left ankle in Borussia Dortmund’s 1-0 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Sunday.

The ankle injury was confirmed following a scan at Dortmund’s Knappschaft Hospital on Monday. Reus is expected to be back in action in two weeks, according to BVB club doctor Markus Braun.

He will continue his recovery in Dortmund and has pulled out of Germany’s squad for their upcoming games against Gibraltar (14 November) and Spain (18 November).

I get the impression it is just to not play the international games. He will be back for the next Dortmund match. That was my first thought when I read the news, especially as the news already mention the "possibility" of him coming back for the next match. So I think this is actually quite good for Dortmund, he can't pick up any injuries playing for Germany.

honestly i dont think that it is only a precautional thing and i do believe he would go to the national team if somehow possible. in the end, i agree, it is a good thing for the BVB as he can concentrate on his full recovery and do his individual training program.

Well, I personally wouldn't look bad at him for not wanting to play against Gibraltar and in a meaningless friendly because both games are completely irrelevant. Usually a lot of Bayern players also don't show up or didn't show up in the past for those.

Grosskreutz really has a knack for landing in weird situations.
