Ianis Hagi

He's signed up with FC Viitorul a team who are in the top league in Romania at 15 years old.

He's expected even at this young age to make some appearances this season in the first team.

He came from a team called Academia Hagi who provide many youngsters especially for this Viitorul team this season.

Roma have been sniffing around him.

No pressure on the kid at all then.

I'm not kidding here, and I've said it before, if you look deep down in your soul you'll realize that Romanians are master race.

Viitorul (translated as 'the Future') is the senior team of the Academia Hagi; they are the same club. Gheorghe Hagi is the owner and now the Viitorul coach too.

Ianis Hagi debuted past month in the top division playing some minutes.

If any team is interested in Romanian talent they shoud keep an eye on Viitorul and their academy. They seem to be one of the few serious projects in the country and their basical goal is producing and preparing young players to export.

AS Roma already took a couple of players from there. Chelsea was apparently interested in one of their defenders, Cristian Manea, the youngest Romanian international ever.

About Ianis Hagi, he debuted in Romanian top division at 16 and 1 month, a year younger than his father when he debuted in 1982.

What stands out about him is his capacity to shoot and kick the ball with both feet. He takes FKs and corners both with the right and the left foot. His father was (is) left footed and he handled himself quite well with the right foot, but not to this extreme.

Ianis is still quite weak physically though. From his same generation the striker Florin Coman seems to be quite prolific and very promising, but he hasn't debuted yet with the senior team.
