Ozan İpek - Bursa

Read here first for the new breakout kid from Bursa, who will eventually make a name for himself and probably attract the eyes of many scouters across the world.

Here in Turkey? He has already made a name for himself since the majority of us has been glued to the TV sets. He made his debut in the top flight of Turkish football just over 12 months ago, and now he has already been called up to the national team. Which is kind of a big deal considering how no Turkish footballers would generally get a call up if they didn't play for an Istanbul or a foreign based team.

But now he is getting recognition around the world as Bursa are challenging for the title, able to compete in Europe for the first time and their great team effort isn't going unnoticed.

But yeah, I should mention that he is 23 years old but i'd like to think he still constitutes as a young person and a bright future prospect.

More about him? Well yeah, he began his professional football career at Batman Petrolspor at the age of 19 and at that time he played in the second division, he then switched allegiance to Kahramanmaraş where he dropped down to the fourth division before getting loaned to a third division team called Buca. So you may think he isn't good considering his CV but after reading all those articles back two years ago suggest he was making loud noise in those divisions.

This is where Bursa kicked in, gave him an opportunity he couldn't refuse and has been reveling ever since. The British media and scouting websites have already mentioned this guy may be the youth player to watch next season.

Videos? Yes of course.

And the best compilation clip can be found at the bottom of this link

And here is a picture where Johan Neeskens was almost going to fight with Ozan.

Useful, nothing special. He might end up in Istanbul on a rotational basis one day.

Personally I think his best performance was against Beşiktaş during the cold winter. He scored Bursa's first goal with a flying header and assisted their third goal by dribbling past four Besiktas footballers. I will put up a youtube clip in a bit...

But I disagree, I know we have a knack for destroying talent from smaller teams, I think this generation will be different.

Especially with Bursa who are putting a great emphasis on youths. Admittedly Ozan wasn't brought up at Bursa but he is getting nurtured there nicely. They also have names such as Sercan Yildiirm, Ismail Odabaşi, Volkan Şen, Eren Albayrak and Muhamet Demir who will be the future of the club. I think that is the same Muhammet Demir who was wanted by Barcelona for a million when he was at the age of 14?

All I am saying is Bursa have been the most impressive Turkish club this year and I think they will be the most brightest Turkish team this decade.

He's all hype just because of that lame News of the World article written by some lame Turkish 'journo' who can't spell. If he moved to England it would be to Barnsley or Wigan.

They copied and pasted that article. The original authors were from a specialist scouting agency.
