Wink Australia vs Netherlands 18/06 (Porto Alegre)

Hard to predict anything other than convincing Dutch victory although Aussies looked threatening at times against Chile. A win should see Holland through.

prediction 2-0

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

just praying Robben doesnt pull a hamstring , well at least not before quarter finals!

Bill Shankly: "If you're in the penalty area and you're not sure what to do, stick it in the net and we can discuss the options afterwards."

It won't probably be a hammer as in the first match. Despite the Netherlands being one of the big shots it wasn't the favorite against Spain and certainly contributed a lot to take out the pressure. Now people expect a lof of them against the at least in theory weaker side of the group.
Australia are a brave team and they will play the hearts out. Expecting a physical game but Netherlands will win comfortably at the end.

2-0 I hope

De Vrij, de Guzman and van Persie are a card away from a suspension.

What's the rule if we make the second round? Will the yellow card be carried to the next round?

Lex Immers - Pace & power. Holland's #1 box to box player

Feyenoord forum - the place to talk about this phenomenon

If it is not carried it wouldn't fair IMO. It is like a free pass to hard tackles.

But of course losing players like Van Persie would be a terrible blow for Holland.

They will be cleared only after the quarterfinal, so if any one of those get a yellow in the second round, they will miss the quarterfinal.

Everybody will be given a clean chit :smileani: after the quarters.

doubt it, Aussies won't give them the space to play quick counters like the Spaniards did
