Grindheim hasn't exactly showed class in the TL this season, neither has MGP for the NT.

Well, it must be difficult for a national team coach to choose someone else than MGP. He's definetly got the potential.

Hareide has decided to start with Iversen instead of Braaten.

Hate the Iversen selection, IMO we should really try to get Braaten going for us. It's disappointing to see MGP under perform for us, but I don't really know who else we'd play there.

Riise? He's really bad as defensively, but could be a good left wing. Would let us use a proper left back as well, not that I can think of any at the moment, but still.. It's an option.

Petter Vaagan Moen has a sweet left foot and can create alot on his own. He plays regularly for Brann and he has showed he can hold his own on the NT against qualified opposition, as he scored against Croatia in his first real NT cap. Since that match Hareide hasn't called him up ONCE.

Btw.. I'm not wearing shades

I thought of Vaagan Moen, but it seems like Åge doesn't think of him as a viable option. Riise, meh. Perhaps. But I prefer MGP over him.

I prefer MGP as well, but as long as he doesn't perform well for Norway, it's better to use him as a sub. Maybe it'll help his motivation. Riise at least tries to perform well, he just isn't a good enough left back on an international level. His strength is definately going forward and scoring fluke goals, not defending.

Vaagan Moen has barely performed well enough to warrant a place in the Brann lineup this season, he's hardly good enough for the NT. But at his best, he's definately an option. He's also better defensively than MGP, so he'd probably help Riise out more.. Like he does with Hanstveit at Brann.
