Gro Espeseth Attempts Comeback with Sandviken!
Gro Espeseth has announced that she will be coming out of retirement and is planning to play fotball again for Toppserien club Sandviken.
Since the Bergen club is currently at the bottom of the table and will have to play much better during the second half of the season in order to avoid relegation, this could be one of the reasons why Espeseth has decided to attempt a comeback at this time.
Espeseth, a former captain of the Norwegian National Team, actually scored the winning goal for Sandviken when the club last appeared in the Norwegian women's Cup Final in 1995. This will be the first time that the 34 year old defender will have played organized fotball since retiring after playing the 2001 WUSA season for the New York Power.
