Daniel Agger

Can I get the lo-down on this guy please? Reports suggest that we will sign him in January, have you heard anything in Denmark? Also can you tell me how good he is- strengths/weaknesses etc. I've seen him once and he looked very good.

Thanks in advance

Maybe you could ask that Glen guy? He's apparently a journalist and is danish.
He did a smart choice, he moved to a club where he will be a regular starter instead of a backup player at Liverpool.

How come the bigger club isn't even in the Intertoto?

We have linked to almost every CB available.. Vidic,Agger,Kompany,Coloccini,Caesar etc..

But Agger head the list because I think he is the same mould as Hyypia and still 20 so he can be successor to Hyypia next year. Actually the better thing is Denmark won't be in WC he doesn't need to play 1st regular right now to keep WC spot like many players available in this transfer window.

Actually stop Spain from scoring is not unusual thing. They had problem in scoring for quite some times since Euro2004 not only when they met Serbia.

The FACT is ManUtd is not in UEFA cup not Intertoto. But with Yatta's football knowledge should know the result of finished bottom place in UCL group stage.

Edit : The same award that Kezman (who was really good but failed terribly in England and leaved for La liga) won ?

Daniel Agger is the biggest defensive talent I have ever seen play in the Danish league, simple as that.

If he gets the right chances and proper guidance he will almost certainly develop into a world class defender. He is that good.

He is pretty much the complete package of what you would want to have in a defender. He is big, strong and quite fast. He positions himself well and know how to tackle. Apart from that he is also a good passer and knows how to clear the ball intelligently without just hoofing it away. Good header with a knack of scoring goals. He plays with a routine that is unheard of for a 20 year old.

He's ahd a injury lay-off for three months now and is ready to come back. It's interesting to see how he handles that but I think he's up for it.

If you saw how he handled Rooney in the friendly then you have a good images of how he try to play every game: Full of confidence and don't give a shit who he is up against.

Yada, yada

I second everything Biancoceleste said.... Agger will be real class.

...and I would want him for Juve over all those Barzagli's and other hyped mediocrities any day of the week.

APATHY: A word now fallen into disuse due to a lack of concern for it.

Isn't Ł5.8mill a bit low bearing in mind that West Ham offered Ł7 million for Dean Ashton (Norwich) and Arsenal made a Ł12 million bid for Southampton's Theo Walcott.

Plus, it's the Danish league. Not very rich in general. Bids like that almost always have to be accepted. Even FC Copenhagen would, and they are by far the richest in Denmark.

Especially none of our defence can't speak Serbian.... Vidic can't speak english and communication is big part for organizing back line. It would take Vidic more time to settled than Agger.

Nervous start in first 20 mins but understandable then adjusted to strength & pace of the game. Cope very well in 2nd half. Calm & use the ball well. At the end of the day can cope with 2 of the most physical strikers in league.

Still need to build up his physical side more but it was an impressive debut.
