If, Danish FA found some talent Greenland players later, but they don't live in mainland Denmark, can they call up these players into national squad? (or into Faroe Islands national squad, another part of Denmark?)
Niklas Kreutzmann used to play for Frederikshavn (4th level) but now play for Aarhus Fremad in the Danish 2nd division (3rd level)
According to their website he has played 8 games (473 minutes) so far this season :
I dont know about the guy from Svendborg. But Frederikshavn (DS = 4th level) have had some Greenlandic players in their team lately.
List of their different foreign players:
Defender, Anders Petersen (2001/02- ?) 52 games, 9 goals so far
forward, Joorsi Skade (2005) 1 match so far
forward, Niklas Kreutzmann (2001/02-04) playing 48 games
+ Defender/midfielder Rene Overballe (2005) 1 match so far
Grønkjær is born in Greenland, but both his parents are Danish I belive... Greenland got a population of around 56,000 (6,000 of them born in Denmark) If both parents are born in Greenland I'm quite sure they are not eligible to play for the Danish NT.
However, if you look at how many registered Greenlanders (born in Greenland) who live in Denmark, it was 12,000 around 5 years ago and surely more at this point... On top of this you have to add an unknown figure of all the "Danes" with some Greenlandic origin, both born and living Denmark, then in all, it could very easy be just as many as ther are ppl living in Greenland eligible to play for Greenland or Denmark...
