Physical, good finisher, tall, great in the air, mobile, reasonable skills, relatively fast.

APATHY: A word now fallen into disuse due to a lack of concern for it.

He's the kind of guy who'll score on everything he touches right now. Give him and a year and he'll be the clumsy guy.

Yada, yada

He was a player that Brřndby didn't find talented enough for their team

Perhaps, but if you remember how Ebbe Sand came to be a quality striker out of nowhere... there's little to suggest Sřren Larsen cannot do the same. He has been mighty impressive over the last year.

Anyway, awful performance from Gravesen, Rommedahl, Helveg, Jřrgensen in the second half..... and Morten Olsen!

How could he not see that Martin was wasted in the second? How could he not see that Rommedahl was inefficient as hell? How could he not see that we needed to win this game, and that Sřren Larsen or Kahlenberg (preferebly both) had to come on to look for a winner?

Turkey were halted by many significant absenties and this match was ours for the taking. Now we need for the Ukraine to take points off Turkey after having already won the group. If that happens, we ought to take the second place as our remaining fixtures are all must- and should win games. Otherwise we just have to confront the fact that we messed up the WC qualification all by our selves.

Basically, if Turkey wins in Ukraine, you guys are pretty much out (they won't blow it against Albania). If Turkey draw or loose in Kiev, it all comes down to Denmark-Greece in Copenhagen, with us going through even with a draw. As things are like now, you look like the favorites to go through. But if Greece pull their act together (unlikely), I don't fancy your chances much as the game in Copenhagen is our ballpark.

Obviously, with you being satisfied with one point in that event, Greece can play the style that suits it.

But just the same, at home we "should" beat you. Even if recent history has shown how difficult it can be.... we are very, very unfamiliar with not winning one single decisive top of the table clash at home, and I'd have to rate us favourites.

aah, I wouldn't be so sure. 4 goals in 4 games and two of them scored when he came on as a sub. I believe we've not seen such a strong beginning to a NT career - in a goalscoring sense - since Michael Laudrup in the early 80's. In any case, a highly promising start.

Like I said, he'll score on anything right now but I'm not so sure about him in the long run. I'd like to be wrong though. And to compare him to Michael Laudrup is a bit of a stretch. There was "a bit" more football in Laudrup than Larsen.

Morten Olsen is done and we need a new coach. Everyone have us figured out by now and Morten Olsen just won't change his tactics. And Thomas Gravesen need to get his ass in gear and start performing well again. It's just terrible to look at him run around like a headless chicken wasting the ball.

Yada, yada

I presume that you did not understand the comparison. Try again.

I got your point, but I just don't think he is as limited as all that. He does have decent skill on the ball (much, much better than a Morten Skoubo for instance), and in terms of physical ability, he is fast and strong, and has a knack for being in the correct position. Add that he is hard working, and I think it's the closest thing we've had to a good new area striker in a LONG while.

I think it's sad that I have to agree on this. Only really difficult part here is that I have absolutely no clue who could substitute him, as Laudrup wouldn't want the job yet IMO. Who else is there? I rate Bordinggaard as a man and assistant coach, but he has too little experience, and Serritslev has the charisma of a dust bin.

We also had many injuries, though.

We did?
We missed a few central defenders, but Agger especially ought to be a first choice player right now. We would have been better with Krřldrup there and Helveg on the bench, but who else could have strenghtened our team - apart from the people already on the bench (I cannot stand to see Rommedahl start)?

There's no comparison to Turkey. They missed at least four automatic starters and key players.

He's off to a great start, I agree, but he's a lot more limited than Laudrup, so I have my doubts he can keep it up, that's all I meant.

We didn't have Per Nielsen, Martin Laursen, Per Krřldrup, and Kasper Břgelund. That's practically all our defence...

Michael Gravgaard is as good as Per Nielsen, Martin Laursen has been out forever and Břgelund wouldn't start over Priske anyway.
