Zenit v Bayer Leverkusen (CL Match 4)

Almost a must win. It won't be easy though especially with how poorly we've been playing lately.

Terrible result, performance hasn't been great either, Kerz should have scored at least 1 if not both which would have put us 2-0 up.

Don't know why AVB didn't change things when it was 0-0, I was thinking Rondon for Kerz and Arshavin for Shatov.

Kerzhakov is a liability in these sort of tight matches, he's never really made the most of his chances in pressure situations. Don't know why AVB preferred him ahead of Rondon.

Little to no attacking threat in the second half and just constantly running into walls, just not good enough all around today and Leverkusen deserve the win ultimately. Zenit look out of form although these blips do happen eventually at some point after such a great winning streak, the timing is all wrong though.

Rondon pulls 1 back.

Looks like going to be too late.

These are the subs which should have been made at 0-0 after 60 mins.

Final score 1-2.

Kerz should have scored when he had 2 easy chances and failing that, it clearly wasn't working in the second half, AVB should have brought on Rondon and Arshavin around the 60 minute mark. Ryazantsev did good his cameo appearance and I would like to see him given some game time instead of Shatov.

Need Benfica to get something against Monaco.

The performance in the last 5 mins should have been the performance for the second half.

Well done Leverkusen, didn't really create too much but scored twice, we were the same but only scored once.

I know what your saying with the performance but there was some key incidents which should have resulted in a win and a very healthy lead prior to them scoring.

Hulk hit the Post with the goalkeeper like a mile away.

Kerz missed 2 easy chances

Kerz clean through on goal, hauled down should have been a Red Card and if he hadn't of fouled him then he was clean through on goal with nobody catching him although we might now be taking about 3 missed Kerz chances!

These were all at 0-0, the performance wasn't great and I am almost agreeing with you but on another day we could have played in the same manner and been 3-0 up and a man ahead prior to them scoring.

I don't think Leverkusen are that good and so we are a lot worse considering we lost to them twice.

AVB should have brought on subs prior to them scoring.
