Zenit v Anzhi (Round 5)
Just over 2 weeks ago this was going to feature the return of Igor Denisov, Anzhi travel to this match without Bousoffo, Diarra, Willian who have all just about left or about to leave and without the recently departed Zhirkov, Denisov and Kokorin.
Zenit bolstered by 3 new signings will have Argentinian International full back Ansaldi expected to make his debut, the other 2 recruits, Smolnikov I would expect to be on the bench and there is no news yet is Shatov is elgible to make his debut if he is I expect the following line up -
Shatov, Tymoschuk, Arshavin, Smolnikov, Bystrov, Neto and Baburin.
Malafeev and Cristico still out injured. Neto might start as he is suspended for the CL match in mid-week. Bench strong now where players like Zyranov and Bukarov might not even get onto it and there are more players come in. Look at that bench and the CSKA Moscow bench and you can work out whilst we are a million miles ahead of them and whilst we will bring in additional players of a higher quality, they are losing players and bringing worse players in.
Zenit can go top with a win. So much for the crisis!
