Proud of Iran. They did amazing for Greco-Roman which is their weaker flavor. 3 golds.
Freestyle is much better to watch. Less hugging and cheap pushing, a lot more action from the wrestlers. A lot more points involved. The refs have been great so far.
This is late for predictions but I'm going to post them anyways (Freestyle):
55kg= Otar Sultanov (won the European championship twice)
60kg= Besik Kudukhov (a ton of wins in the world championships)
66kg= Mehdi Taghavi (Iran's biggest favorite in freestyle)
74kg= Denis Tsargush (He'll figure out his mistakes against Jordan)
84kg= Sharif Sharifov (hard one to call, but he came off a good world win in 2011)
96kg= Reza Yazdani (has some good wins over Varner and Balci)
120kg= Bilyal Makhov (did well at the world's)
Jordan Burroughs is a huge favorite at the 74 kg but I'm hoping for an upset. He's quite arrogant. He even has a personal website with the phrase "All I see is Gold". I hope Tsargush can put him in his seat.
