#28 Marco van Ginkel

Van Ginkel could be coming in on loan till the end of the season. Guardado's injury might be why PSV feel the need to bring someone in.

Jong PSV player Clint Leemans might join Willem II on loan till end of season (his contract ends in the summer). He is playing for Jong PSV against RKC tonight. Thought he was Jong PSV's best player by a distance in a couple Jong PSV games I watched in August but hasn't looked as good in games I have seen since.

The Marco van Ginkel loan deal has been completed. Will be interested to see how much he still has to offer. If he'll play a bit-part role at PSV too.

PSV surely favourites for the title.

Van Ginkel is just a bit of a wuss when you watch him play. Seems scared to influence a game. He does have talent, though.

A very interesting deadline day signing for a number of reasons but a typical PSV/Cocu move if you look more into it, which is why van Ginkel's arrival does not come as a huge surprise

Apparently we have been chasing Marco since Christmas so it was not (completely) dependant on Guardado's last minute injury. Brands even reached out to Guus to put in a good word about us

This signing for me confirms what I had in the back of my mind this whole season - Cocu does not like/rate Maher. Cocu prefers a two-way midfielder that can play multiple positions in midfield, contributes in both attack and defence and is quite physical - all attributes Maher lacks and van Ginkel, Guardado and Pröpper have

Also a typical PSV move by bringing back a Dutchie who has not yet made an impact abroad but can grow/has made an impact previously in the Eredivisie ala Jeffrey Bruma and Luuk de Jong

It's a loan until the end of the year with no option to buy but what is interesting is that we have a 'first buyers right' to him which means that if we match the highest bid for him then Chelsea must sell him to us

I'm looking forward to seeing him link-up again with Pröpper

Welkom Marco!

Good signing.

Different player entirely to Guardado but should help cover his loss.

I forgot to mention that van Ginkel was left out of the Chelsea squad that is going to Austria for a pre-season training camp + friendlies

A big indication that he will leave the club
