Eredivisie 15/16: LANDSKAMPIOEN#23!

We may no longer have the individual brilliance of Memphis, the leadership of Gini or the vocals of Karim Rekik ... Karim Rekiki this season but things are looking up for PSV coming into the 2015/16 Eredivisie season!

Last weekend we won our first piece of silverware, a game where our attack looked on point/no weaker than last time around. As the defending champions, the bookies have us as favourites so hopefully the JC Schaal is not the only trophy we win this season.

New signings Lestienne and Pereiro should bring plenty of flair, excitement and unpredictability in attack whilst in Poulsen and Pröpper we have two proven Eredivisie performers who will surely contribute to the squad.

The start of the Eredivisie season has been somewhat of an anti-climax as police strikes across the country mean that our first game vs ADO (away) will most likely get postponed to mid-week. More news to come on that in the coming days.

Matchday 1: ADO vs PSV

ADO vs PSV has been officially moved to Tuesday at 18:30 due to the police strike

I'll write up a match preview after the weekend

When Moreno signs you will be solid all across the pitch. Bodes well for the Champions League as well.

I'm more confident coming into this season than i was last time around. Barring some kind of disaster we should be the team to beat

We lost 2 key players in Gini and Memphis but we have more depth in the squad as a whole.

Plus, Frank's influence at Ajax seems to be waning and Feyenoord have had wholesale changes to both their coaching staff and players so who knows what to expect from then - i do think they will do better than last season though

Line-up:

Zoet

Arias - Isimat - Bruma - Brenet

Guardado

Pröpper - Maher

Narsingh - de Jong (C) - Lestienne

I still believe that Guardado should be played in his favoured position of further forward in midfield (in place of Pröpper) and it should be between Hendrix and Schaars for the CDM spot

Apart from that no real complaints. Let's see what Lestienne can do

Narsingh missed an almost completely open goal in first minute...

Fast counter attack from a ADO free kick

Hahaha Luuk De Jong blasts over from 7 yards, embarrassing. He should have scored that.

Awful decision from the linesmen, Maher was offside to finish a pass from Propper.

0-1

ADO score a minute later, Alberg scores a penalty.

Arias had his hand on Meijers' shoulder outside the box, he eventually gets slightly clipped by Arias in the box and goes to ground. Arias gets a yellow card.

1-1

Average match so far. Lestienne not impressing me at all. I am more impressed with the right winger from ADO

He is against Brenet, you would be impressed with me against Brenet.

Lestinne is fast and doesn't like to shot based off this game, I like what I have seen from him.

Lestinne is a **** though, pretending he got hit in the face and goes to ground easily there, just embarrassing behaviour

He better stop with that behaviour right now. I'm sure people will tell him.

Some fine crosses from his feet though, he also has a nice level of speed.

textbook header from De Jong from a Narsingh cross to make it 2-1

Meijers won't be pleased with himself

Pereiro got a bloody nose and or around the eye. Was that from him landing face first into the ground?
