#2 Nicolas Isimat-Mirin

Our final signing of the summer and a deadline day one at that

A one year loan deal with no option to buy. It looks like he will provide competition for Bruma at RCB but apart from that no one is expecting miracles from this kid.

I thought the plan all along was to loan out Koch so he gets some Eredivisie experience before replacing Isimat as Bruma's understudy but that didn't happen

22 years old - he was a regular at Ligue 1 side Valenciennes before signing for the momentarily rich AS Monaco where he only made 6 Ligue 1 and 5 Cup appearances last season.

Welcome Nicolas!

Big factor: he's not Dutch! So he might be alright at defending!

Well we've had the likes of Zanka, Marcelo, Maza and Brechet come in as foreign CB's in recent times that were meant to strengthen the defence but failed!

Looking at the best CB's in the Eredivisie's recent history they have all been either Dutch or Belgian

Olympiakos are apparently interested in him

Talks of him even moving there in January

Tbh he has been a bit of a let down for me. I'm not sure why we even got him in the first place - it's not like he's got a wealth of experience over guys like Koch or de Wijs.

I think if we do loan players in the future they have to be Guardado-esque. Experienced professionals who will instantly add something to our team

Isimat-Mirin transfer confirmed!

“I’m pleased with all the responses from the fans since the championship and the party,”

“I am very happy that I can finally play at PSV, a big club with great fans. I want to make every effort to continue last year’s success.

“I’m really happy with my contract here.”

4-year contract signed

Fee is €2.5m up front and €0.5m at the end of the season

He had offers from clubs in Italy and France but he decided to stick with us because of how much he enjoyed last season

Come on Peesjevee!
