2015 Summer transfers and rumours

It's probably now time to start a new thread coz we have our first bosman signing for the summer! bar Moisander to Sampdoria.
PEC Zwolle defender Maikel van der Werff is joining Vitesse on a 4 year deal.
Vitesse continue to carefully look around for freebies in the Eredivisie. Not bad I guess.
Jan Arie vd Heijden's and Dan Mori's contracts both expire in the summer, so a new CB is needed. Vd Werff likes to go forward so he seems to be an ideal replacement for vd Heijden. Stuttgart had a look at vd Heijden in the winterbreak. Wonder if they still want him. Maybe they will if they go down.

and a rumour: Kalmar want to reunite David and Rasmus Elm with Victor who still has a contract at AZ till 2016. All depends on how much AZ want him.

Wow i didn't know that Rasmus Elm went back to Kalmar! He is still only 26!

What went wrong at CSKA? I thought he was doing well there

Health problems

Quote:
There are very serious doubts whether we will ever see the 26-year-old on the pitch again. A mysterious, chronic stomach illness that causes bleeding when the body is under physical strain has prevented Elm from training since the start of the season. CSKA doctors suggested it is getting worse, and the footballer could even die if he insists on playing on.
He signed for Kalmar in January after CSKA released him. The season starts in April so he hasn't played yet. Probably a goodwill gesture by his former club. Hope he doesn't overexert himself.

I had heard about the Ramsus problem, very sad. I hadn't heard of Victor Elm in ages wasn't aware he was still at AZ, and actually getting games regularly enough too.

Not really - it looks like Ortiz (when fit), Hendricksen, Haye, Dos Santos and Gudelj are all preferred to Elm

The elder Elm was always the least talented of the two. Also not really clear what his position is. Something in between midfield and attack.

He was doing well when he played. The problem is that he has health issues, which prevent him from playing a lot of games on high level.

Can anyone find a list of who the freebies (Bosmans) will be in the Eredivisie this summer?

I can't seem to find one anywhere on the net

van der Heijden would be an interesting option for Feyenoord. And off course Uth

Necid, Nordfeldt and Bengtsson (if his contract isn't extended) would also all be good choices for any of the top 3

Personally i don't rate vd Heijden but Uth is worth having a punt on

Heerenveen can extend Uth's contract by a year. They probably will, but that obviously means they still won't be able to ask that much for him.

Seems to be pretty certain that Feyenoord will have Colin and Dirk for next season. No experimenting up front. Maybe in other areas.

Quincy Owusu-Abeyie has left Boavista because of personal reasons. Played 11 games this season and scored once.

Will he want to play in Holland for once?

Van der Vaart can also start looking for a new club in the summer.

Not unexpected, but regional channel NDR say it's definite.

The MLS, Spain (something like Malaga?) and Ajax are linked.

Can't see him back at Ajax to be honest, despite what FdB and the hierarchy might say, it's just they want to not be seen to burn bridges. It doesn't fit it with the club's philosophy these days, actually even though he is half the player he was, his experience and leadership is just what Ajax NEED.

Even though all of these players who leave Ajax always say they'd LOVE to come back, how often does it happen?

Think Kuijt will do well back at your place next season as a comparison.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Afellay back at PSV next season, and he will do ok too!

Obviously these players aren't what they where, but as mentors and for leadership qualities, they're an asset for a year or two.

Normally when these 'legends' come back they don't live up to expectation so maybe it's a blessing in disguise

No they don't, usually because you remember them at their best and their best nowadays is not half as good.

Ajax lack leadership and mentors on the field, they often all look like lost sheep out there, so someone of that ilk is required, whether that is Van der Vaart is another matter, maybe Heitinga is the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
