Eredivisie 2013/2014

News for the new season is that Cambuur will be playing on artificial grass.

I need to support an Eredivisie team this season...any suggestions?

Cambuur's kit reminds me of Torquay...so there's a good candidate!

Bouma will probably choose a new Eredivisie team, he won't retire yet. Go for that club.

I'm scaring people away from Feyenoord and I realise it. Laying it on a bit too thick to keep the underdog status going.

True! p

Vlaar never seems to make any mistakes and the only goals he scores are crackers!

There are enough Feyenoord supporters on here though

If he does join another Eredivisie club, that's definite...I wonder who he'll choose though, his wage is a little high for the mid-table clubs.

GAE sticking with the grass surface.

Mestreech, I notice you have Ross County in your team's list. If you scroll up the forum index and find "Celtic Nations Football", there you'll find a thread dedicated to everything Ross County - the thread was opened by cam, a fellow supporter of the Staggies, and I'm sure he'd appreciate it if another County fan would lend his thoughts regarding anything related to the club.

Well, you could pick a team other than Feyenoord or Ajax, and spend the entire season talking to yourself!

Yeah, PSV should be getting at least 10 points from those first few games. Maybe ADO can get a point at home in first game. Feyenoord and Twente probably got the toughest opening run of games

Any reason why the final day fixtures are on a Saturday and not Sunday?

I wonder if it is because of the World Cup?

The Dutch version of Remembrance Sunday is on the 4th of May and because the ceremonies for that are held around 8pm, they don't want to have fans partying in the centre (and police chasing them) on that day.

Wonder when they'd hold a victory parade though. On the same night as the final game is tricky though doable if organized properly. If it were to be in Rotterdam lol. Jacky Mathijsen and friends on the city hall balcony and Coolsingel at 9pm on a Saturday night. No chance. Probably just the stadium if it were to happen
