Topklasse 2012/13

Here the official highest amateur level thread for next season. Topklasse starts for its third season now. It will again exist out of a Saturday and Sunday group. The following teams are in.

The two champions will play eachother for the overall title, the winner has got the right to go up, if they refuse the loser take over the right. If they refuse too, no team will promote.
The last three from each group will relegate directly, the fourth from bottom enters the playoffs.

Saturday
1. Barendrecht
2. Capelle (Capelle a/d IJssel)
3. DETO (Vriezenveen)
4. Excelsior'31 (Rijssen)
5. FC Lisse
6. GVVV (Veenendaal)
7. HHC Hardenberg
8. Jodan Boys (Gouda)
9. Katwijk
10. Kozakken Boys (Werkendam)
11. Noordwijk
12. Rijnsburgse Boys
13. SC Genemuiden
14. Scheveningen
15. Spakenburg
16. IJsselmeervogels (Spakenburg)

For the first time in Topklasse appear Hoofdklasse champions Scheveningen, Jodan Boys and DETO. They replace SVZW, Montfoort and ARC. Kozakken Boys won the playoffs, after knocking out Harkema in the semi-finals they did beat Ter Leede in a last final on a neutral venue.
It's quite remarkable Quick Boys miss out for the third consecutive season, they weren't even in the playoffs.
It's hard to say yet who'll play to avoid relegation, but normally the two Spakenburg teams and Rijnsburg will fight again for the title. From the newcomers I expect Kozakken Boys to do best.

Sunday
1. Achilles'29 (Groesbeek)
2. ADO'20 (Heemskerk)
3. AFC (Amsterdam)
4. FC Chabab (Amsterdam)
5. EVV (Echt)
6. Gemert
7. Haaglandia (Rijswijk)
8. HBS (Den Haag)
9. Hollandia (Hoorn)
10. HSC'21 (Haaksbergen)
11. JVC Cuijk
12. FC Lienden
13. Sneek Wit Zwart
14. De Treffers (Groesbeek)
15. VVSB (Noordwijkerhout)
16. WKE (Emmen)

Newcomers here are Hoofdklasse champions ADO'20, Gemert and Sneek W/Z. Gemert appeared in the opening Topklasse season two years ago as well, ADO'20 and Sneek are in for the first time. The Moroccans from Chabab won the playoffs, they eliminated UNA in the semi's so UNA relegated. In the final Chabab did beat Be Quick 1887 from Groningen after penalties.
The champions replace Argon, Quick'20 and Hilversum.
Last season Achilles were untouchable and I wouldn't know who can eventually hold them from winning the title again. Gemert have got the qualities to stay up for sure while it will be funny to keep on following Chabab, a team who differ a lot from the rest. They're a team with mostly immigrant players who've got their own style .

Helmond Sport are very close to sign Eric Meijers, coach from Achilles'29 who works there already for just over ten (!) years! Would be a massive blow for them.

Just found out I beat FC lienden's Oktay Ozturk in futsal a few months ago. We played 4vs.4 on a small indoor pitch. He was there with two good turks and one average while I played with one good guy and two ok guys. I was very impressed by the guy but didnt know where he played, just checked out his facebook page and found out he plays for FC Lienden. We also organized a Serbian tournament a few weeks ago and Capelle's Anoush Dastgir was there with a team of Afghans, they beat us 3-0. They had the best team in the tournament but had to leave early so they didnt win the tournament. Also played against one of the leading topscorers in topklasse zaterdag Ijselmeervogels's Jasmin Ramic. I'll say one thing though, they are all pretty good players and I wonder how good a CL quality player is when those guys were pretty impressive to me

If you play against the Topklasse stars, how about yourself doing some trials?

Are they stars? I know Ramic probably is because he was 2 on the striker list after Van Meiracker, who joined NEC. Dont know about the other two. Ramic was definitly the best player of the 3 though.

I'm not in their league, I'm way to slow. My starting speed has to be that of a dinosaur, John van Burgerking style. The only reason why we beat Ozturk is because he is not a futsal player. We played him on a small pitch where we usually play 3 vs. 3. It was obvious he was a good player but he didnt have enough space to perform. Most of the time I managed to force him to the sides which would leave him with the smallest angle to shoot, or none at all. Im pretty sure he would outrun me on a big pitch. He was a machine, we played for over 2 hours and he didnt stop once, he just kept on running and running even though he had a hard time breathing.

So this weekend Topklasse kicked off again.

Saturday
Capelle - Genemuiden 0-3 (500)
Excelsior'31 - GVVV 3-1 (500)
FC Lisse - Noordwijk 1-1 (1000)
HHC Hardenberg - Rijnsburgse Boys 4-2 (1100)
Jodan Boys - IJsselmeervogels 2-1 (1300)
Katwijk - DETO 3-0 (1075)
Kozakken Boys - Schenveningen 1-0 (1000)
Spakenburg - Barendrecht 0-0 (1800)

So the three big favourites all lost points at the first matchday, or better said, just Spakenburg gained one point.
Most remarkable thing happened in the Jodan Boys versus IJsselmeervogels game. The assistant referee discovered some Vogels-players were wearing these slidingshorts under their normal shorts, but in a different colour, which is forbidden. During the drinking-break after about 22 mins those players had to put their slidingshorts off, but then the referee decided to restart the game without them, which meant Vogels at once had three players less on the pitch. Then the coach walked into the pitch to stop the game, saw the red card, got a conflict with the assistant referee who made a dive like he was hit by coach Zoutman. In the end the game was stopped for 20 mins!

Sunday
Hollandia - EVV 2-1 (250)
WKE - HSC'21 7-1 (600)
Haaglandia - Sneek Wit Zwart 1-2
ADO'20 - De Treffers 1-1
Achilles'29 - VVSB 1-0 (250)
Gemert - AFC 1-0
JVC Cuijk - HBS 1-1
FC Lienden - Chabab 6-0

Champion Achilles'29 have beaten their 'angstgegner' VVSB at the first day of the new season. Chabab were sweetly welcomed in Topklasse by Lienden while on Saturday evening already WKE impressed. Hard to say who'll be able to take Haaglandia's role from last season, at least expected more of Hansie Hansie's JVC.

Weekly roundup

Saturday
Barendrecht - Capelle 1-1 (1500)
DETO - HHC 0-1 (1500)
GVVV - FC Lisse 3-0 (900)
Noordwijk - Jodan Boys 3-5 (600)
Rijnsburgse Boys - Excelsior'31 4-0 (1000)
Genemuiden - Katwijk 1-2 (1050)
Scheveningen - Spakenburg 0-2 (1250)
IJsselmeervogels - Kozakken Boys 2-2 (1800)

After two rounds of play just Katwijk, HHC and newcomers Jodan Boys are the teams left with a 100% score. Vogels couldn't beat Kozakken Boys at home and are already close to a crisis after last weeks' loss in Gouda. Newcomers DETO and Scheveningen both are still waiting for their first points.

Sunday
De Treffers - Hollandia 2-4
EVV - Gemert 2-2
Sneek Wit Zwart - FC Lienden 1-3 (600)
VVSB - ADO'20 2-2
HBS - WKE 2-4
AFC - JVC Cuijk 4-2
HSC'21 - Haaglandia 4-1
Chabab - Achilles'29 called off

Four clubs still have got a 100% score, these are WKE, Lienden, Hollandia and Achilles'29. Achilles' match at Chabab got called off today. It's true Chabab have got a horrible accommodation, but it has been almost dry for weeks so a few hours of rain can't be the reason, it seems like they had a lot of injuries...
Kraay's JVC lost versus Jack's AFC, JVC defender Ritzen got sent off for the second consecutive time after being sent off in the midweek cupmatch versus Barendrecht as well.
Haaglandia are the only team with 0 points after two rounds.

The only midweek round...

Saturday
Capelle - Rijnsburgse Boys 1-5
Scheveningen - Genemuiden 4-2
Excelsior'31 - IJsselmeervogels 1-2
Katwijk - GVVV 3-1
Kozakken Boys - Barendrecht 0-4
Spakenburg - DETO 1-4
HHC Hardenberg - Noordwijk 4-4
FC Lisse - Jodan Boys 3-1

First win for Barendrecht, DETO, Lisse and IJsselmeervogels tonight. Especially DETO's win in Spakenburg is sensational! Noordwijk are still looking for their first win despite scoring four goals tonight, together with Excelsior'31 they're bottom.
Katwijk are leading being the only team left with a 100% score after three games. Followed by HHC (7 points), Jodan Boys and Rijnsburg (both 6).

The Sunday teams will play tomorrow night.

Time for a Topklasse update as there are some interesting developments...

First this weekends' results

Saturday
Barendrecht - IJsselmeervogels 1-1 (1500)
Capelle - Excelsior '31 called off
DETO - GVVV called off
Katwijk - HHC Hardenberg 0-2 (1925)
Kozakken Boys - Rijnsburgse Boys 4-2 (1250)
SC Genemuiden - Noordwijk 0-0 (1050)
Scheveningen - Jodan Boys 4-1 (800)
Spakenburg - FC Lisse 0-2 (1700)

Let's start with the remarkable fact the three major title candidates, Rijnsburg, Spakenburg and IJsselmeervogels all messed it up so far. Spakenburg even are at a relegation spot!
On top there's quite a large group, but in the absolute topmatch on Saturday afternoon HHC did beat Katwijk away and took over the lead from them. At the bottom both ones from the east need to hurry with catching some points otherwise near christmas they'll be unofficially relegated I fear.

1. HHC Hardenberg 9 - 19
- - - - - - - - - -
2. Barendrecht 9 - 18
3. Katwijk 9 - 18
4. FC Lisse 9 - 17
5. Kozakken Boys 9 - 16
6. GVVV 8 - 15
7. Capelle 8 - 13
8. Noordwijk 9 - 13
9. Rijnsburgse Boys 9 - 13
10. Jodan Boys 9 - 12
11. Scheveningen 9 - 12
12. IJsselmeervogels 9 - 11
- - - - - - - - - -
13. Genemuiden 9 - 8
- - - - - - - - - -
14. Spakenburg 9 - 8
15. Excelsior'31 9 - 4
16. DETO 9 - 3

Sunday
WKE - De Treffers 1-3 (1250)
HSC'21 - JVC Cuijk 1-2 (650)
SWZ Sneek - HBS 0-2
VVSB - EVV 0-3
Achilles'29 - ADO'20 4-2
FC Lienden - Hollandia 2-1
Chabab - AFC 1-2
Haaglandia - Gemert 4-2

WKE are still leading but Achilles have still got one game in hand, if they beat Chabab in that game they'll be equal on points. Together with Lienden they're forming the first group.
After a horrible start De Treffer seem to be back on track and are moving upwards the table. Newcomers Chabab and SWZ Sneek are facing heavy difficulties.

1. WKE 9 - 21
- - - - - - - - - -
2. FC Lienden 9 - 20
3. Achilles'29 9 - 18
4. AFC 9 - 16
5. HBS 9 - 16
6. EVV 9 - 16
7. JVC Cuijk 9 - 12
8. HSC'21 9 - 12
9. De Treffers 9 - 11
10. Hollandia 9 - 11
11. ADO'20 9 - 11
12. VVSB 9 - 10
- - - - - - - - - -
13. Haaglandia 9 - 9
- - - - - - - - - -
14. Gemert 9 - 8
15. Chabab 9 - 4
16. SWZ Sneek 9 - 4

An international weekend means more attention for non-league football!

Saturday
Excelsior '31 - Katwijk 0-6 (400)
GVVV - SC Genemuiden 4-0 (900)
HHC Hardenberg - Kozakken Boys 1-3 (1200)
Jodan Boys - Spakenburg 2-1 (950)
FC Lisse - Capelle 4-3 (500)
Noordwijk - Barendrecht 0-1 (500)
Rijnsburgse Boys - DETO Twenterand 4-1 (800)
IJsselmeervogels - Scheveningen 3-3 (2000)

Spakenburg and Genemuiden keep on struggling while the bottom two clubs from the east already seem to have given up. Surprisingly Barendrecht are the leaders, certainly no one predicted that before the season! Newcomers Kozakken Boys are in the race as well after their away win at leaders HHC while also Lisse are doing surprisingly well.
The big ones don't perform so far although Rijnsburg seem to slightly raise a bit in the table.

Table
1. Barendrecht 10-21
- - - - - - - - - -
2. Katwijk 10-20
3. FC Lisse 10-20
4. HHC Hardenberg 10-19
5. Kozakken Boys 10-19
6. GVVV 9-18
7. Rijnsburgse Boys 10-16
8. Jodan Boys 10-15
9. Capelle 9-13
10. Noordwijk 10-13
11. Scheveningen 10-13
12. IJsselmeervogels 10-12
- - - - - - - - - -
13. SC Genemuiden 10-8
- - - - - - - - - -
14. Spakenburg 10-8
15. Excelsior '31 9-4
16. DETO Twenterand 9-3

Sunday
ADO '20 - WKE 3-4
EVV - FC Chabab 3-0
Gemert - FC Lienden 1-0 (850)
HBS - HSC '21 2-1
JVC Cuijk - Haaglandia 2-3
De Treffers - VVSB 3-0
AFC - SWZ Boso Sneek postponed
Hollandia - Achilles '29 postponed

Unfortunately due to bad weather conditions in the west two games were called off. That's extra sad for Achilles who're two games behind now after earlier in the season their game at Chabab was cancelled.
Anyway WKE grabbed a very late win in Heemskerk which makes them increase the gap with Lienden who lost points in Gemert who celebrated their centenary with a victory.

Table
1. WKE 10-25
- - - - - - - - - -
2. FC Lienden 10-21
3. Achilles '29 8-19
4. HBS 10-19
5. EVV 10-19
6. AFC 9-16
7. De Treffers 10-14
8. JVC Cuijk 10-12
9. HSC '21 10-12
10. Haaglandia 10-12
11. Hollandia 9-11
12. ADO '20 10-11
- - - - - - - - - -
13. Gemert 10-11
- - - - - - - - - -
14. VVSB 10-10
15. FC Chabab 9-4
16. SWZ Boso Sneek 9-4

Makes interesting reading this season.

Have Spakenburg had some internal issues that have affected their play this season? At least it gives the other teams a chance as it was in danger of becoming a 3 horse race each season. Good to see Barendrecht at the top after last seasons points deduction although it will take a lot to stay there as there are quite a few in a "cluster" at the top of the table.

Shame the cup heroics of Sneek don't seem to be tranferring into their league form and already looked doomed. Achilles should prove too strong to win the Sunday league i would think.

the south will rise again...hell to some, angels to others

FC Lisse - Scheveningen 1-1 (900)
Noordwijk - DETO Twenterand 1-0 (650)
IJsselmeervogels - SC Genemuiden 2-1 (2000)

Katwijk once again took over the lead as both GVVV and Barendrecht lost points. At the bottom there was a very important win for Spakenburg which makes them climb out of the direct relegation zone.

Table
1. Katwijk 11-23
- - - - - - - - - -
2. GVVV 11-22
3. Barendrecht 11-22

ADO '20 - FC Lienden 4-3 (1100)
AFC - VVSB 0-0
EVV - De Treffers 1-3 (450)
Gemert - HSC '21 4-2
HBS - FC Chabab 2-1
Hollandia - Haaglandia 3-1
JVC Cuijk - SWZ Sneek 5-0 (350)

Achilles has won the absolute top match and proven they're the only team who can win this league. Chabab and Sneek still seem to be without any perspective of staying up, but as for the other spot there
's an interesting fight going on with a lot of teams participating.

Table
1. Achilles '29 10-25
- - - - - - - - - -
2. WKE 11-25
3. HBS 11-22
4. FC Lienden 11-21
5. AFC 11-20

Achilles won the difficult away match at Lienden but as WKE keep on winning as well there's still something competition for the title as long as it lasts.
Both bottom team gained points. No more than 50 people visited Chabab's home match in the rain versus Hansie Hansie's JVC. Chabab's point still made them drop one spot in the table as former bottom team SWZ Sneek won after their cup exit versus AZ. That means Gemert are back in trouble as well.

The bad attendances can be declared because it was horribly raining all day.

You played versus their Sunday reserves, or versus their Saturday reserves? Believe their Sunday teams are pure there to develop people for the Topklasse team while the Saturday teams are playing just for fun.

You played at Quick?

Zaterdag, hehe.

I played for quick(selectie) 3 seasons ago but now I play in a Serbian vriendenteam which plays very low. Last season we finished second and moved up a division but we cant handle it this year. We face all teams with teenagers and kids in their early 20's while we have two guys who are over 50. Several guys in their 40's and others in their 30's. Add to the fact that we dont have a goalie right now so each shot on goal is basicly a goal against us. We have three guys in their 20's right now. We are trying to rejuvinate but the good Serbian kids arent stupid as I was myself to play at this level. A friend of mine still plays at Quick's selectie and Im trying to convince him to make the switch but he doesnt want to
Another things is: during the game opponents often ask me where I actually play, that should tell you something about the level on which we play. We dont even train.

Come to think of it I've played at the three strongest Nijmegen teams in history: NEC, Quick 1888(which even won the Dutch Cup) and SCH I sure know how to pick my clubs

Hehe, sounds familiar to me, playing for fun with your friends is great although for me at some point I didn't like it anymore because we lost too much games .

What happened with Quick's accommodation btw? The lovely old school stadium is totally gone?

Also, what makes SCH the third strongest team in Nmgn history? They ever achieved something?

Quick has got a complete renovation, artifical grass and everything. I guess the stadium wasnt needed because it wasnt packed or something. Havent been there in a while, passed by it but didnt enter the complex. Such a shame that a club with that history is sunk so low. They are even trying to reduce the foreigners at the club because the club exist on around 80% of foreigners.

SCH, is just a tradional club. De Snor has recommened their biografy as one of the best club books in Holland. They've produced famous players like for instance Chris van der Weerden. A very folks team which almost collapsed a few years. The team was built by some shady families in Het waterkwartier. Zoran Borojevic who played at NEC went there from NEC because he could make more money there. Once those guys left the club was downhill and built a very a bad name beeing an aso club. Luckely they are building once more and have received a large amount of money. Aso club has been put in the background, but that also has to do with the rize of Sint Jan, which is a pure aso club beeing pushed by drugmoney. Even though SCH is as well, but to a smaller extent.
