Who will become topscorer of the season?

After Mertens early massive total it's now a battle between the real strikers, with the name of Malki the biggest surprise there. Looks like he has taken over Junker's scoring booths this season.

Who do you think will pick up the golden boot at the end of the season?

Current standing (20/02/2012):

Code:
Dost SC Heerenveen 19/21 4 pen.
Guidetti Feyenoord 18/16 7 pen.
L.de Jong FC Twente 18/21 1 pen.
Malki Roda JC Kerkrade 16/21 0 pen.

Going for Luuk de Jong. He's getting the best supply at Twente imo.

Yeah it interesting to see how Verhoek will function in this team. With him and Ola feeding him crosses its almost impossible not to be topscorer. Dost on the other hand has got Assaidi who is a terrible egoist, against Utrecht he should have set up Dost for a goal but he decided to take the hard route and shoot him self, with all the luck in the world it ended in the net. Narsingh hasnt been his usual self the last couple of games, is the fame starting to get into his head or are these just incidents. Djuricic is on fire though and he could feed Dost some goals. Im going for De Jong as well

De Jong.

For Dost it all depends on Narsingh and the amount of pens they get. Luuk has way more service as Twente play much more route 1.

If Guidetti isnt stupid, he may well give him a run for his money. He has scored a lot of his goals via penaltys though.

I also went for Luuk de Jong. Heerenveen has the habbit of producing topscorers, but Twente has the best attack (if you look at goals scored) and he has potentially two good guys to give him the cross/assist.

De Jong scored the 1-0 against Utrecht making his tally 19. He is level with Dost but Heerenveen starts at 16.30 while Twente still have one half against Utrecht.

Guidetti isn't playing so he will stay at 18 goals.

I am surprised that Mertens has had such a let down in goal scoring. He seemed to be on a 30-goal pace early in the season.

Dost adds another goal to his tally after a horrible clearance by Beerens, or should I say nonclearance, and awefull goalkeeping by Esteban.

Mertens always is loses his shape in the months with an 'r' in it. And all the defenders know what his speciality is now, so Mertens can't do that anymore.

I think it's obvious that de Jong is going to be the topscorer, he has a good team around him and he has more quality than the others.

De Jong 20
Malki 19
Guidetti 18

How long is De Jong? If he is out for the rest of the season we might as well give the topscorerstitle to Dost.

Right now the list is as followed:

Dost 23
Malki 21
De Jong 20
Guidetti 19
Mertens 18
Toivonen 16

Yeah and they are willing to pay 8million for him. If I were Heerenveen Id cash in on him. He is good but he will never be worth more than that. Meanwhile if they cash in on him they have financial room to keep Narsingh, Assaidi and Djuricic.

Gerald Sibon then to lead the line next season?

Or finally the appearance of the Macedonian U21's saviour Samir Fazli?

8m is a tremendous fee for a player like Dost, especially for a club like Heerenveen. If they are actually interested it should be a done deal already.

Im pretty sure they would be getting someone new if Dost leaves. Heerenveen isnt pleased with Fazli while Sibon is Sibon he is usefull as a pinchhitter nothing else. The only reason not to sell him for that fee is the lack of a good affordable replacement.

Vleminxck perhaps:hopeful:

Is Dost better than Zigic though?

Zigic in the premiership basically turned out to be a static lamppost.
Alex McCleish loves them.

Zigic had passed his prime two years ago. He still knows how to score but doesnt add much rlse. Are Aston Villa relegating, because they have concrete interest in Dosr?

They're pretty much a lower midtable side. Should be safe despite them being boring IMO

Wolves have totally lost it while QPR haven't really found any relegation saving form yet. Yes they beat Liverpool but they're a joke away from home p

Wigan are playing some good football and getting some better results but still need to score more.
