My vote is pretty obvious: Stekelenburg once again was the best goalie in the league, by quite a margin this time around. The level of goal keeping in this league really is terrible at times
  • Coutinho: not a top class goalie but has done reasonably well, despite my expectations.
  • Romero: Decent I suppose, not as outstanding as his previous seasons.
  • Pellatz: Who?
  • Mulder: bad start but actually recovered a bit after he came back from his injury. It remains to be seen how he'll develop though.
  • Luciano: joke of a keeper. Completely inconsistent.
  • Waterman: Will never reach the potential people thought he had in the beginning of his career.
  • Stuhr-Ellegaard: alm:
  • Pasveer: bad start but started doing better later on. Could very well become a stable Eredivisie goalie (which still doesn't say much though).
  • Ten Rouwelaar: reliable shot stopper. Hardly Oranje material though.
  • Cillesen: Looks very promising, one of the few proper goalies in the league.
  • Isaksson: slightly above Luciano.
  • Tyton: another young goalie who got a chance and took it, good season.
  • Mihaylov: Replaced Boschker with ease, well done.
  • Vorm: Good season. Current Oranje #12 and rightfully so imo.
  • Room: Another surprising talent although he didn't stand out as much as the others.
  • Gentenaar: over the hill
  • Kujovic: and he was supposed to save Willem II

Pellatz has actually done well. On loan from ADO iirc and he's done so well at Excelsior that Bundesliga sides are looking at him (for a reserve spot and as it'll remain so, he'll prefer to stay in Holland).

By quite a margin? Not at all in my opinion, one of the best for sure, but it's no coincidence he won't make a big move in the next transferwindow...

My vote went to Tyton, still young but has been very important for Roda this season. Without them they wouldn't have finished so high.
Vorm was good as well, certainly too good for us and he showed that.
Other one deserving a mention is Cillisen, not consistent yet but normal regarding his age and debut season.

For me:

1) Steek (reluctantly)
2) Romero
3) Mihaylov

1) Steek (Ajax wouldnt be in the title race if it werent for him)
2) Mihaylov (Excellent, especially in Europe)
3) Vorm (Very consistent these past few years, deserves his Oranje spot)

Tyton misses out because he injured Jonathan

My vote goes out to Stekelenburg followed closely by Tyton. Only other goalies that deserve a shoutout are Mihaylov and Vorm. Silessen will be a good goalie, I still remember his last minute save against De Graafschap worldclass save.

Even Vermeer is a better goalie than Mihaylov.

What's Mihaylov really done wrong though?

Not that much really, it's just that Vermeer is better. Even the Feyenoord krant admits it

You think Mihaylov would have let that goal in that Vermeer let in against Heerenveen? Come on Vermeer has catlike reflexes but that IMO doesnt make a great goalkeeper. I like keepers who dont have to use their reflexes to often, It shows their positioning is good. Id take Mihaylov over Vermeer at this point

Same with me.

You cant take an unproven goalie over one thats firmly established.

I was only joking guys, I posted that because of the newspaper article I linked Although I do believe Kenneth has what it takes to surpass Mihaylov, he needs to play more matches in order to prove that.

Mihaylov is the #1 for me. Steek comes close I have to admit. Comparing Vermeer to Mihaylov though = just funny.
