Keeping busy. I'm still only lukewarm about football but I thought I'd make an effort. I think the World Cup was just overkill, surely I'm not the only one? We went from the WC final straight to Europa League/CL qualifiers. Give us a break already.

This place seems pretty exciting. Others such as RMIT seemed daunting but this seems less so, I don't see what's holding me back from enrolling. And if I do well it's a stepping stone to other places.

I know exactly what you mean Slag.

One day tour watching the WC final, the next you are watching your team lose to Sibir.

To be fair i havent been keeping up with football as much as i normally do. Things i know about AZ so far is that they have had trouble in attack (Falkenburg has been playing striker for most of the season thus far) and that Pontus Wernbloom has been on fire

Wernbloom? What did he do?

Falkenburg as a striker is a stupid idea. Glad to see Jonathas has been playing there recently.

Oh well Wenbloom scored quite a few goals at the start of the season ,, dont have the best memory so cant tell you exactly how many but at least it was surprising nonetheless (Im talking about in Europe, not the Ere) . He also scored both goals for Sweden in their 2-0 win over Hungary haha.

Yeah i thought Falkenburg was more of a playmaker than an AM in the first place. What is up with Pelle, Benschop / any other striking options you guys have?

Falkenburg is a playmaker. I'm actually quite excited about his prospects because I watched an interview with him yesterday and he was talking about how he loves the #10 position and after spending a few weeks as a striker, he feels it improved his #10 skills cause now he knows what a striker needs. I think partnering him with Jonathas could be a great move. Right now, however, Verbeek seems to favor Elm in that position so we'll have to put that fantasy on hold.

Benschop is injured, Pellč is just Pellč. He's A) not terribly good and B) didn't want to play in European games in August because he was eying a transfer. Verbeek is a bit of a petty man and I suspect he thought to himself "You don't wanna play now? Then you're not gonna play ever."

What are your thoughts on Rasmus Elm?

Do you think he was worth buying?
What do you think is his best position?
Do you think he could make a step up later in his career?

So transparent

Well he's equally fragile so at least in that sense you needn't get used to him.

Wally , so shallow

I was just wondering how he was going. There was all this hype that he was going to be the next best thing out of Sweden, going to be their RM for years to come, premier league sides like Everton wanted him etc.

Nothing has seem to come about for him though. He hasnt set the Ere on fire and he seems to be playing CM. I was just clueless to how he was going.

As i said before i would rather we buy Schaars than any other AZ player in general.

I'm not very impressed with Elm. I think he might end up at a smaller club in France or Germany but he's definitely not going to Arsenal.
