The Super Boeren De Graafschap Thread

The Super Farmers (my Super Farmers) win the title if they beat the Eagles tomorrow.

The Eredivisie beckons!

Cheers Knoert,
Today is a good day, but the hard work starts now.
Last time "we" came straight back down again, so some consolidation is what we need.

And my "blauw/wit" hat arrived yesterday

Have you visited them already or is that on the scheme next season in Eredivisie?

You're right about the hard work, it will be very hard to stay up although it seems so far more teams won't be stronger than De Graafschap, but depends on the relegation playoffs of course too.

Sibon?
He could do a job for us!
Cheers Wally!

De Vijverberg isn't one of the grounds I've visited, but it will be at the top of the list once I'm back in action after doing my baby duty!
Perhaps the 'derby' with Vitesse?

You're all being very kind.
Cheers boys.

I do realise that next season you'll all be looking to take 6 points off us!

I hope we don't make it too easy for you lot!

Nice to see de Graafschap back next season, congrats Marinus You can forget about signing Sibon though, that's the same pond Feyenoord is fishing in

If we're on a par with Feyenoord, I'll settle for that.
Maybe if they get Sibon, we can steal Makaay from them (if we can outbid Achilles 29!)

Boss, congratulations! Now for a new stadium (but at the old site, please don't make The Hague's mistake of building in an industrial zone outside of town).

It is, but they're still seeing if they can build a new one because commercially this one's over.

I was very excited about the render (d'r an! ):

Statistics: capacity will be 20.396 seats, costs are estimated at €45 million.

But then I googled some more and I read this:

Volgens De Graafschap is uit onderzoek en gesprekken met de gemeente Doetinchem gebleken dat deze locatie voldoende exploitatiemogelijkheden biedt. Op dezelfde grond zal tevens een een bedrijvencomplex uit de grond worden gestampt.

Ahh, a lovely business park too - that's nice isn't it?
A soul-less out of town development that will be deserted and silent except for match days.
How are De Graafschap going to afford €45 million?

Apparently it's a combination of corporate investment and subsidies from 4 different levels of government including Europe.

Please let them change the location :frownani:

lol that tractor tire shape is great I very much their new stadium will be near the old one, that land will probably be used to build houses, it's too expensive to build a new stadium on it.

So there is actually funding for this, it's going ahead?
Even in these grim economic times - brilliant.

Looking at the video, I'll have to go to an evening kick off if possible.
It looks amazing lit up blue.

Not sure who they are playing in that video - blue shirts, yellow shorts?
We must have qualified for Europe!:hopeful:

iirc the club will get the go-ahead for the new stadium somewhere this month. it'll be 2 seasons before you'll be able to use it though.
