2018 World Cup bid

Couldn't find the older thread but:

Quote:

7 Belgian cities??
Charleroi? ok it's got a Ryanair airport but what's the attendence of the local FC?

Even Antwerpen, big city but what would Germinal Beerschot and Royal Antwerp do in such a stadium? (merge maybe? p )

Shame AZ and (in this aspect) that Scheringa seem to be folding or we could have had a 40k stadium in Alkmaar. Really do think that we could have added another city but then again, I don't think that the current locations of Groningen and FC Utrecht are big enough to have their stadiums enlarged.

You aren't a third World country, so your bid is rejected.

The only realistic candidates for the 2018 World Cup are Honduras, Somalia, Albania, Bangladesh and Papua New Guinea.

If you were a third World country, you wouldn't have any cappuccino.

They serve brilliant cappuccinos in Venezuela and, besides, it's not like Italy tops the UN living standard rankings

Still, your application for 3rd World status is denied/rejected.

Who cares about the UN? In my rankings Italy wouldn't even be in the top 20.

Don't hold your breath Wally. This guy has the attention span of a goldfish.

For instance, I'm pretty sure he already forgot he was coaching on that pic. Looks like he's thinking something along the lines of; 'bami of nasi vanavond? hmm ik ben niet te benijden'.

So did we drop the Pfaffs? That would be a good move.

^^ I was extremely sceptical about our bid at the start but after today's presentation I'm turning optimistic. All the other countries apparently just sent their FA chiefs whom nobody had ever heard of. England sent Beckham but the pretentious idiot showed up in a limo and presented a weak case (We should get it because we invented it). Having Cruijff and Gullit cycle up to the building was a good idea, as is most of the bid book. Our only weakness is that none of our stadiums are currently ready. But I think we might be in with a shout.
