A real shame, could have been a nice preparation to the real season as it beats playing friendlies, these games would at least have an edge.

Good luck to NAC though, even if they have some major assholes in their squad. Holland needs the points.

Portugal's league will have to make do with less Europa League berths, they fell outta the top 9 after last season's poor results:

Code:
01 England 79.499
02 Spain 74.266
03 Italy 62.910
-------------------------------------
04 Germany 56.695
05 France 50.168
06 Russia 47.625
-------------------------------------
07 Ukraine 41.850
08 Netherlands 39.130
09 Romania 38.908
-------------------------------------
10 Portugal 36.462

Know nothing about the Armenians but the name itself. Can't believe NAC won't beat them but probably they'll get beaten in the third or for sure fourth round.

Wonder as well home many fans will attend the home match, guess about 5000 or so...

Yeah, if you only had scored 5 in De Kuip in the second game against NAC you could have been there too. Providing that you would also won the third game and the play-off final vs Groningen. So close! p

Gandzasar 0 NAC 2
Future Europa League topscorer, Anthony Lurling and Edwin de Graaf

Polonia Warsaw up next for them. Of which I know nothing about looking at their list of players
http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/verei...tartseite.html

Same with PSVs next opponents (at least so it seems: 2-0 now on agg. in the 2nd half) Cherno More Varna of Bulgaria
http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/verei...tartseite.html
They have some veteran former Bulgarian internationals who've played in Greece and Turkey but they don't ring a bell for me

Last season Cherno more was close to eliminated Stuttgard.
In Bulgaria they lost 1:2, but in Germany the lead with 2:0 to 85 min.
The match ended 2:2.
Cherno more isn't very good team. But PSV will have a problem in Bulgaria.
May be draw in Bulgaria, and categorically win for PSV in Holland.

Nothing really happened so far in Warsaw, where NAC just started the 2nd half versus Polonia.

PSV to kickoff in 45 mins in Eindhoven versus Cherno More Varna.

A lot of catching up to be done for us. We've lost our 12.000 pointer season which is the reason we fell down to tenth. The good news: is we should still be able to get back up to 8th or 9th without that freak season included in the rankings which is a minor confidence boost. No matter if we suck, everybody else is just as bad.

Italy hanging onto that 4th CL berth by their teeth lol.

So PSV faced a lot of troubles to beat Cherno More, but in injury time they succeeded. In Varna Cherno More needs to attack which gives PSV much more space, so expect them to advance quite easily.

As for NAC, very good result, haven't seen the game, but normally they should advance one more round as well. Then probably they'll draw a big one I guess (?).

You don't really think the Bulgarians are gonna attack, do you? They only need one goal to allow them to start stretching things out again.

I guess they have to... remember they didn't create a single chance yesterday, doubt even whether they even got one shot between the posts.
When they will lay back and defend again I can't see them score a goal in 5000 mins.

I don't think it'll make much of a difference but we'll see.

Uff, very, very harsh for Twente to get knocked out like this...

Sporting didn't create anything in 184 minutes of football versus FC Twente, and then such a lucky (own) goal. The Portuguese didn't deserve it at all. On the other hand Twente decided to defend a one goal difference, also not a smart idea if you ask me.

This must be bad for our coefficient too I guess...

On the bright side, it doesn't matter much. I mean, whoever wins this tie has to take it up with Arsenal or Valencia or what have you. There's no way you're reaching the CL when you finished second in Holland or Portugal anymore.

Thank you Platini. I hope you choke on your tie.

NAC Breda (Ned) - Polonia Warschau (Pol) 3-1 (2-0).

25. Amoah 1-0, 45. Lurling 2-0, 59. Ivanovski 2-1, 81. Kwakman 3-1. Scheidsrechter: Jakobsson (IJs). Toeschouwers: 12.500. Gele kaart: Sokolowski, Ciach, Tralka (Polonia Warschau).

Kosmalski), Ciach (76. Kulcsar), Koziot en Lato; Sarvas (59. Mierzejewski) en Ivanovski.

Not bad.

Thought the two ties would be a bit more competitive so Twente, PSV, Heerenveen, NAC and Ajax in tomorrows draw for the Europa League.

Good luck to them all (bar one p before I start getting fan mail)
