Wages in the Eredivisie

Quote:

Feyenoorders in top100:
24. Giovanni van Bronckhorst – 2.100.000
31. Denny Landzaat – 1.600.000
31. Roy Makaay – 1.600.000
40. Tim de Cler – 1.300.000
42. Kevin Hofland – 1.200.000
53. Theo Lucius – 810.000
58. Henk Timmer – 780.000
61. Jonathan de Guzman – 720.000
88. Luigi Bruins – 450.000
Totaal: 10.560.000 euro

PSV’ers in top100:
30. Ibrahim Afellay – 1.700.000
31. Jan Kromkamp – 1.600.000
52. Danny Koevermans – 840.000
54. Otman Bakkal – 800.000
60. Mike Zonneveld – 750.000
72. Dirk Marcellis – 600.000
80. Bas Roorda – 500.000
88. Stef Nijland – 450.000
Totaal: 7.240.000 euro

Ajacieden in top100:
23. Maarten Stekelenburg – 2.200.000
39. Urby Emanuelson – 1.350.000
44. Evander Sno – 1.100.000
62. Ismail Aissati – 710.000
88. Rob Wielaert – 450.000
95. Dennis Gentenaar – 420.000
Totaal: 6.230.000 euro

AZ’ers in top100:
51. Stijn Schaars – 860.000
63. Mounir El Hamdaoui – 700.000
74. Kew Jaliens – 580.000
75. Demy de Zeeuw – 570.000
80. David Mendes da Silva – 500.000
Totaal: 3.210.000 euro
Only from the Dutch players that is. You can see that the players who return from a trip abroad, no matter how good they are now, want to earn a milion at least. The wages for the likes of Sno and Kromkamp are out of this world. And at Feyenoord you know a bit now too where the money is going to.

Also weird to see Roorda earning half a million btw for just sitting on the bench and keeping his mouth shut. Lately he isn't even sitting on the bench next to the other players. Same goes for Gentenaar btw, but he has always been rated a much better goalie.

1. (1) Andruw Jones (honkbal) 17.000.000
2. (2) Ruud van Nistelrooij (voetbal) 8.200.000
3. (5) Edwin van der Sar (voetbal) 6.100.000
4. (4) Mark van Bommel (voetbal) 6.000.000
5. (9) Rafael van der Vaart (voetbal) 5.200.000
6. (6) Arjen Robben (voetbal) 5.100.000
7. (3) Clarence Seedorf (voetbal) 4.900.000
8. (16) Wesley Sneijder (voetbal) 4.800.000
9. (11) Robin van Persie (voetbal) 4.600.000
10. (10) Dirk Kuyt (voetbal) 4.300.000

No wonder that they only want to give Van Bommel a contract for just a year at Bayern.

They make a lot at Real. I wonder what Centhe is earning now and Klaas Jan, cause the latter I think earned the most in Holland when he left.

I think Nigel de Jong should now be in the top 5, he's said to earn more then 6 Mio at ManCity thanks to the crazy sheiks...

I heared he would earn 4,5. So he would kick Dirk out of the top 10 then.

Drenthe earns 2 mln euro, Huntelaar 3,8 mln euro. It's quite funny to see Hunter's wages at Real coz we offered him 4,1 mln euro per season if only he would sign the new contract with Ajax.

Yes, but AFTER tax ! And it must be noticed that in England ( and also Spain) , income taxes are lower than in Germany, France and i think also in the Netherlands.
I once read that there is also special law in Spain which treats foreign atheletes like artists who have severely lower tax rates than the normal worker.
Something similar exists in England, it's some sort of tax loophole for foreign players which helps to reduce taxes, at least this was often discussed here in Germany when Ballack went to Chelsea, consensus of the discussions was that a german club couldn't compete with english clubs even if they were able to pay the same wages since the players don't have those tax benefits here.

Same here. 3.8 Mio in Spain should be more than 4.1 Mio in the Netherlands after tax .
