Liga Polska Prediction League - feel free to join :)

Guys, I think we can keep it in one thread.

I'll try to post games for each round every weekend (Sunday is the most probable day), and current standings as well.

As to points, my proposal is to predict exact score. Two points will be given for a right one and one point if just home/away win or draw is correct. Besides, I'll pick one game from each round for which points will be doubled.

What do you think?

There aren't too many of us at the moment, I guess. But I hope some others will join us as the competition continues.

Three out of five of us picked the correct result of the first game! And the other ones were't far off either... Looks like we got a bunch of geniuses out here! I haven't bet on soccer since I was a 13 year old kid in Gdansk, betting on English league games (now that was fun, and what's even funnier, not once was I asked about how old I was), but, maybe it's time to start again!

European Championships here we come!

The game was pretty boring, but I was so proud of myself to pick the correct result Now I realize it wasn't only me

Have you ever won any money or something?... I was lucky once It was in my high school. Everybody from the class bet on Legia games. Each of us paid 10 zloties to the treasurer and the one who picked the correct result, could take the money. I still remember the first game of the season - Legia beat Hutnik 5-0. I was the only one to predict it And to take the whole sum

....Polska, is not allowing the pressure to get to him and in previous media conferences, has stated to journalists that he is quite happy with the tag of 'underdog'. He believes this weeks performance was a little dissapointing to his many fans out there. He also hit out at Barlineks statements talking up his superiority, "Barlinek, should enjoy his time at the top. It will not last long. His over confidence will be his fault. As the rest of the competition climbs closer to him, i think time will show that he will crumble under pressure!". Strong words there from Polska, it looks like we have a very exciting prediction league this season!

..Prewitt gaining only 4 points, was very disapointed and despite our huge efforts for an interview was unavailable for comment! lol

The following is a excerpt from Barlinek's weekly press conference:

Reporter 1: "Why do you think you have blasted out of the gates in such fine style after such a dissapointing season last year?"

Barlinek: "Last year i was injured for much of the time, any time i got rolling something else would go wrong. I knew if I stayed healthy, things would turn around"

Reporter 2: "What do you think of Polska's early season debacle?"

Barlinek: "From what i hear, he came to training camp a few pounds overweight, and never really settled into the squad. Its a shame that alcohol has taken him over. At one point in time he was a contender"

Reporter 3: "Who do you think is your biggest threat?"

Barlinek: "I think my biggest threat is myself. Right now if I put everything together, like I did this week, I won't be stopped. The main thing is to stay injury free"

Dia Dhuit a Cairde conas atá sibh inniu???

Unfortunately this is not to do with your prediction league but since you have a grasp on the Polish fixture list I was hoping you could help me out and recommend any games either Wisla Krakow, or SK Cracovia may be playing between August 16th and August 29th, as I will be visiting the city and am keen to take in a game if at all possible.
