Yea, but fortunately he stabilized own form in the last season and from start of last season, when he won a first goalie shirt there, he belonged to the best footballers of Arsenal's autumn part of season. Example:
Then he got injured and his replacement was...another Pole, the young 21 years old Wojciech Szczesny, who had several fantastic games there, showed own great mentality (mental strength, bravery etc.) and became their new no.1, hopefully on next 10 years at least.
Enough to say Szczesny debuted in EPL on Old Trafford against United and in CL against FCB at home. And he did well in both games. That'll be interesting to see this polish competition in Arsenal's goal.
btw. According to Sinisa Mihajlovic words, Sebastian Frey has lost competition both with polish goalie Artur Boruc and with Neto in AC Fiorentina and he'll leave them in current transfer window.
Another polish goalie Lukasz Zaluska started season as a no.1 in Celtic Glasgow. That's interesting story, because several years ago he left polish league because nobody from the polish top division wanted to sign him. However he rebuilt his career in Dundee United and moved to Glasgow after great season there.
