Polish Super Cup: Legia Warszawa - Wisla Plock

It's not a game I'm especially looking forward to, but:
1) it's the first game of the season;
2) Legia and Wisla will represent Poland in, respectively, the CL and the UEFA Cup.

Probable line-ups:
Legia: Fabianski - Szala, Choto, Alcantara, Kielbowicz - Radovic, Surma, Burkhardt, Roger - Gottwald, Elton.
Wisla: Gubiec - Zivkovic, Magdon, Pekovic, Colakovic - Geworgian, Rachwal, Gedeon, Sedlacek - Obajdin, Sobczak.

Today, 20.00 CET, TV 4 and Polsat Sport.

It's not played regularly. The last winner of the Super Cup was the almighty Lech Poznan in 2004

Oh, since 1983, I should have heard about it at some point, I thought they just introduced it.

Alcantara probably won't play because he was banned from one game in... Potuguese league last season. Also Radovic is doubtful, his father dies only a couple of days ago.

This game is just another pre-season test game, which is a pity. I think Super Cup games should have better reputation - maybe sponsoring and significant financial prizes could help.

At least it's better the Supercup last year ... the league match was at the same time game for Supercup :rollani:

after 1st half the result is 0:1. Goal of Magdoń in 3rd min. from penalty kick. Players of Wisła start to attack Legia in the middle of the playground, so position attack is very hard. In fact Legia didn't have 100% chance to score (the best chance was shot of Roger from freekick). Wisła had severl great chances, they could lead higher.

Wisła won 2-1 !!!!!!!!!! last 8 minutes they played with 10 men (stupid red card after 2 yellow cards for Sobczak, the first yellow was for taking off the shirt after scoring a goal :rollani. The refree helped Legia several times but it wasn't enough. Elton played very poor match, Radovic and Burkhardt also. CONGRATULATIONS WISŁA PŁOCK !!!!!!!!!!

Ouch Legia lostp . I watched this game only a few minutes and was impressed by Wisla. I expected Legia to flop in real games, didnt know that it would happen so soonp . Congrats Wisla Plock. Supercup of Extraclasa went to Płock .

Legia players before the kick-off: "We are almighty Legia Warsaw! We are the champions of Poland! We defeated PSG and OM! Bow!!!"

And then... Whoooops

We're lucky to experience a cold shower like that in a meaningless Super Cup game and not in the CL qualifiers on Wedensday.

We marked terribly in defence and wasted 4-5 excellent scoring opportunities up front. The referee did his best to help us win, but on that night we didn't look like a solid team at all.

A well-deserved victory for Wisla. They were deadly at counter-attacks and set pieces. Rachwal and Gideon impressive in central midfield

Congratuilations to Wisla.
