This is the most important match for Polish football since the 1992 Summer Olympics final match. Or rather since 1982, the World Cup bronze-medal match against France.

Since this is a Polish home game I give them the edge, if this was on a neutral venue it would probably be a draw. If the Czechs don't have a healthy Rosicky they are done.

Overall, I have been slightly more impressed with the Czechs, despite them losing one game 4:1 than the Poles though. Czechs play better football but their back line is not great and Cech has been anything but confident in this tournament

it is because if one game is play before egample if russia and greece game finish first then chech and poland know exactly what result they need to go in next round and can do fixing. if both in same time nobody can do fixing

Gebre Selassie has been impressive so far in this tournament. I'd be really surprised if he is not snatched during the coming transfer window by a fairly big club.

Group A: Saturday
Greece (1pt) v Russia (4), Czech Republic (3) v Poland (2)

• Russia will be through with a draw, and could even afford a defeat by fewer than six goals if the other game finishes level.

• Greece will be through with a win, and out with a draw or loss.

• Czech Republic will advance with a win. They could even afford to draw unless Greece beat Russia by five goals or fewer.

• Poland will be through with a win, and out with a draw or loss.

It's seriously pissing down now. I wonder what happens if the ref stops the match like it happened yesterday. Will they stop the other game too?

Disappointed in the tv director not showing us the Polish babe even once, tbh. Hopefully the Poles score and they show her celebrating.

btw this is the 2nd time I watch Poland closely, and tbh the Dortmund rb aint all that.

Poland almost scored with the last kick of the game, I wonder what the crowd reaction would have been if they had helped Russia progress...

“But we're a university! We have to have a library!" said Ridcully. "It adds tone. What sort of people would we be if we didn't go into the library?"

"Students," said Senior Wrangler morosely.”
