France - England (Monday 18H00 CET)

France - England
Donestk - 11/06/12 18H00 CET

French team should be :

Code:
Lloris Debuchy Rami Mexes Evra (Réveilleire) (Clichy) Cabaye Diarra Malouda (M'Vila) Nasri (Menez) Ribéry Benzema (Giroud)
The defense looks, for once, the biggest problem during the pre-euro friendlies games. With a midfield rather attacking minded and prone to forgot the defensive work. What allows opponents some opportunities to counter attacks. We might see fews goals then.

Blanc might start Clichy ahead of Evra, but seeing the last game, i think Evra will start. M'Vila should be a starter, instead of Diarra. But he might be rather short to come back for this one.

My only hope is Carroll doesn't start at this point, seeing as little of him as possible in this tournament is about the only thing that might mean we play a bit of football. 5 minutes here or there, but still it is something.

In reality we are going to play counter-attacking football while parking the bus with long balls the order of the day. That relies on none of our players making mistakes and that France have an off day in front of goal. It almost worked in 04 with better players on the field, we have a muuuch better goalkeeper though and France don't have Zidane. We still have Gerrard to play throughballs for Benzema or whoever plays though.

A draw is possible, I am going for a France win after a lot of grafting against us. We can get results playing the way we are going to, maybe something unexpected but I would rather we didn't bore our way to quarter final glory.

I think the French have been getting a tad over-rated in recent weeks, but yeah they are better than England. Anyway could see a draw still here. Downing a likely starter though and Milner on the other wing alm: Sad times.

Not sure Mali, but to be honest I'd fear them more if Wellbeck and Defoe were to start, mainly due to their pace. It's no secret that the French back line is their weak link.

How many Arsenal/ex-Arsenal players are playing? They'll spread their lovely sauce called 'malaise' and it'll be the most boring tie with France popping up with a winner. Want England to win though, c'mon England.

I want some drama. Loved it when they met last time in Euros. England winning, and then Zidane decides to turn it on

It was great. And yes, Stevie G helped with that back pass.

Hoping some drama like that. Don't care who wins.

Stevie G did a Cesc in that game. I think that term is forever coined a Cesc now though.
